We’ve seen we have enough off the bench to be confident we can win it in the second half, but need big changes and another fast start.

And then pray to everything that Downes is back for Friday somehow.

Smallbone is being let down by others in midfield. He has a great partnership with Downes but those who come in like tonight are not good enough. Not sure what the answer is because we don't have anyone remotely on the level of Downes. Fear a defeat here as things stand.

Agree with everything other than AA. Don't think he's been missing at all but he works off finding space, there's obviously going to be less of that when playing in the middle of a tight pitch like Ashton gate as opposed to wide at St Mary's
