Edwards is short for a centre back (5'11) which is seemingly the reason he has been hyped for ages but nobody has moved for him.

As a fourth choice to effeectively replace Holgate from last season he could be a decent option that would likely retain value even if he doesn't make it at PL level.

THB, Bednarek, Stephens, Edwards (hypothetically). Not the best pool for PL level but mix of youth and experience plus the ones we already have are at least good, committted professionals.

That said, its Crook so likely Saints aren't in for him.

THB, Rodon, Bednarek, Edwards, and Stephens would not be a bad group. Sure we could do better but there's 3 experienced players and 2 real talents. I like it.

I expect it will be Rodon or Edwards, not both.

The Offer from al -shaheeb to Che is apparently worth up to £130k pw including performance bonuses. 🤪. 

Considering the standard of player he’d be actually PLAYING against there it’s not such a bad gig compared to sitting on the bench somewhere cold and rainy in the Midlands for less money.

Need to be thinking long term for CB's  

Bednarek and Stephens are both about to start the last year of their contracts.

He would be obvious first choice gk. Our biggest signing ever since Shilts in that role and boy what a sigh of relief for everyone to know we have got that guy at the back in goals. Massive confidence inspiring move ahead of the season. We can but dream though as he obviously wants a bigger than SFC club move - apparently wanted pay parity with Courtois who is apparently on €15m pa!

Two signings- one at CF and one at GK to be statement signings. Top quality starters. Thats what I’d like to see.

Last year we had Stephens, THB, Bednarek and Holgate. We have lost Holgate so unless we sell another one we aren't going to sign two cbs.

Usually playing in the Euros increases a players value. Not sure in Ches case, not criticising him as he had no service at all

The Peterborough chairman is on Talksport every 5 mins, so wouldn’t surprise me if there was truth in it.

Thiago silva is 5'11", as are Nathan Aké, Marc Guehi and David Alaba

Puyul is 5'10"

Mascherano 5' 8" as well.

I wouldn't dismiss a 5'11" defender based on height.

There is nothing I would like more than to sign a statement striker. But unfortunately it takes more than just money - Unless you have wheelbarrows full, which FFP won't allow us. 

Remember what happened with Cody Gakpo. We'll be the 'smallest/least sexy' of 5 clubs in the running and we'll loose out.

(Either that or we're reliant on the mentalist religious nut we're signing scoring the correct number of goals in the game where god gives him a sign 😔 🙄 😆) 

Unfortunately the chances of us pulling another Potters Heron seem unlikely

Sentimentality aside, he wasn’t good enough for the Premier League, neither was Che Adams. Let them go and clog up someone’s wage bill elsewhere.

Same with Bednarek, Stephens and unfortunately AA. Though I'd give AA another go in this division because I don't think he was used properly last time.

We are reignited our attempts to sign Manuel Benson from Burnley.
