Bad Wolf Posted 10 February, 2024 Posted 10 February, 2024 Would it be 25 though? Surely we can't count the Watford tie as two games. I know it is technically but feels a bit cheeky to count that when we only played the second game because we failed to win the first one. 1 2

So if we'd lost we wouldn't count it either by the same logic? Edited 10 February, 2024 by OttawaSaint 2

Probably some subconscious insurance pride that if the worst does happen, I can say "I told you so!!!" as I pretty much said the same for Rotherham, Swansea and Plymouth.

I also worry about jinxing it. But this is the best football Saints have played in ages. Maybe even my lifetime. If we play our best we win no matter what Huddersfield do. And it feels completely strange and wrong thinking that.

But I think it was actually 7 wasn't it? The swing needed? No, I think on that occasion I was relatively confident. 1
OttawaSaint Posted 10 February, 2024 Posted 10 February, 2024 Full time 2-2. Two more dropped points for Ipswich.

I'm usually pretty pessimistic after years of false dawns but when you look at the facts, 24 unbeaten, full squad, playing well and with confidence, strong bench, against a team riddled with injuries and not starting a striker, at fortress SMS - you have to say we look overwhelming favourites and even I am confident of a win. I have a very slight nagging concern they'll park the bus for the draw - but it's up to us to sort that. I'm definitely more worried about the next 2.

Block 5 Posted 10 February, 2024 Posted 10 February, 2024 One centre back on the bench. No full backs. This is a bit of a worry.....

Saint_clark Posted 10 February, 2024 Posted 10 February, 2024 Filthy challenge on Sarmstrong there. He knew what he was doing.
Saint_clark Posted 10 February, 2024 Posted 10 February, 2024 Not giving Sarmstrong any time on the ball at all, tight in him instantly forcing him to face his own goal. Clear they see him as a big threat.

Saint NL Posted 10 February, 2024 Posted 10 February, 2024 KWP just went by his man like he's not there 😂
Saint NL Posted 10 February, 2024 Posted 10 February, 2024 Huddersfield should have scored from that header. Not the best start by Saints
hypochondriac Posted 10 February, 2024 Posted 10 February, 2024 Huddersfield looking decent. By contrast we don't look ourselves.
Saint_clark Posted 10 February, 2024 Posted 10 February, 2024 It's early lads. Their adrenaline will fade and we'll get back into the swing of things.
OttawaSaint Posted 10 February, 2024 Posted 10 February, 2024 Anybody see what RM was so upset about?
Saint_clark Posted 10 February, 2024 Posted 10 February, 2024 Huddersfield being very deliberate with leaving the boot in well after the ball has gone.
