It's match day for Valenciennes, who host US Orléans at 7.30pm French time. US Orléans are fourth in the league.

The aim is to keep up the momentum after last Saturday's win at Nancy.

We lost the first leg, so we have to win the return tonight!

Merci Christophe

I cant watch tonight unfortunately as I have an appointment with a lot of beer.

Bon chance.

No problem, my friend.

Have a great evening and toast to Valenciennes' victory tonight!

Another win!

Yay. All hail Sport Republic and their brilliant tactical management of getting relegated in order to win the odd game.

Cracking stuff all round.

Do you ever give it a rest?

Gven their results of late, first beating the 1st placed side followed by the 3rd placed side, it is a huge (necessary) turnaround.

It is a positive thing that has happened. Credit where credit is due.

When we got back from the match, it was great to see another win at home - it's been a long time!

I'd say there's more solidarity, the style of play is based on attack and on constantly pressing our opponents.

The 2 winter recruits are doing the team a lot of good (Axel Camblan and Ousmane Touré).

There's still a lot of work to do, but things are looking up, and I think that if we keep winning, things will get better and better.

The message on the banner:  "Revive the flame"

Allez VA !

One of u needs to drink tonight cos I went out hard last Friday and Valenciennes won in the league. Don't want to be bad luck so the weekend drinking must continue to save Valenciennes season.

Fred we won as well today, see miracles can happen.

The great Sports Republic comeback is on.

We gave all the other teams a headstart before we decide to play.

Everyone else tries to win games through out the season but with rasmus our chief football strategist he realised it's better to be shit for half a season and then win more the rest of the season.

Thinking outside the box 🤣

without going through every page on this particular topic i don,t know if this small snippet has been posted before!

Saints have more in common with our sister club Valenciennes than some may realise or be old enough to remember.

Roll the clock back to November 1996 and one of the biggest piss takes in Premiership history. I give you the infamous ALI DIA who managed to con Graeme Souness he was a professional footballer and cousin of George Weah who he alleged he had played with at PSG. On the back of this fabrication he got a 1 month contract with Saints and came on at home against Leeds when Matt Le Tiss had to come off with a calf injury. He somehow managed to stay on the pitch until the 85th minute before being hauled off and never playing again. Le Tiss described him as "bambi on ice"

Well roll forward to 2010 and one SIMON DIA the son of ALI DIA signs as a youth for Valenciennes. He scored 15 goals in 45 appearances for Valenciennes B side. He is still applying his trade in BANGKOK!

at night ? then I guess that the world's his oyster, The bars are temples but their pearls ain't free; he will find a god in every golden cloister; And if he is lucky, then the god's a she, he can feel an angel sliding up to him...
