alpine_saint Posted 27 January, 2009 Posted 27 January, 2009 Another two points dropped because of a manager that hasnt got a f**king clue who his strongest team is, even though its obvious to the chimpanzees down the road in Marwell Zoo............
Plumstead_Saint Posted 27 January, 2009 Posted 27 January, 2009 Shame we couldn't nick it at the end. Still, I'll happily take a point after being 2-0 down
yorkie Posted 27 January, 2009 Posted 27 January, 2009 Better than expected after the HT score. Bring on Swansea - without Dyer they are useless! Bring on the March
dubai_phil Posted 27 January, 2009 Posted 27 January, 2009 Now, I wonder if lessons got learnt tonight? If they did then maybe things won't be so grim (on the pitch) Well battled lads
Legod Third Coming Posted 27 January, 2009 Posted 27 January, 2009 Any other season this would be ok. Not tonight. Not this season.
Toomer Posted 27 January, 2009 Posted 27 January, 2009 (edited) Bloody hell can't believe it I got this one correct on the prediction league, would have been a good point away from home if all the sides around us lost. Edited 27 January, 2009 by Toomer
StuRomseySaint Posted 27 January, 2009 Posted 27 January, 2009 Everyone else won so it's 2 points dropped on everyone else around us and relegation becomes more of a certainty. Why did that mug start with Saga on the bench as well?
AwaySaint1 Posted 27 January, 2009 Posted 27 January, 2009 Another two points dropped because of a manager that hasnt got a f**king clue who his strongest team is, even though its obvious to the chimpanzees down the road in Marwell Zoo............ I dont think they have ever had chimps at Marwell zoo. Looks like your local memory is going. When was the last time you went to a Saints match?
sadoldgit Posted 27 January, 2009 Posted 27 January, 2009 Saga needs to play from the start. Great point though after being 2-0 down.
Fan The Flames Posted 27 January, 2009 Posted 27 January, 2009 good come back lads, well done Euell for the clearance, keeps us in touch.
alpine_saint Posted 27 January, 2009 Posted 27 January, 2009 I dont think they have ever had chimps at Marwell zoo. Looks like your local memory is going. When was the last time you went to a Saints match? Around the same time as I last went to Marwell
docker-p Posted 27 January, 2009 Posted 27 January, 2009 Given the half time score this is a great result. But given the other results it ain't good enough
Seaford Saint Posted 27 January, 2009 Posted 27 January, 2009 A point gained, what else can you say FFS?
saintjay77 Posted 27 January, 2009 Posted 27 January, 2009 relieved considering half time score. will wait to see if he or the team learnt any lessons by the time we play swansea huh
um pahars Posted 27 January, 2009 Posted 27 January, 2009 Good fightback, but I make it that the gap to safety has widened after tonight. Another plus point of the evening is that I think Derby are in the bottom three as well!!!!
Legod Third Coming Posted 27 January, 2009 Posted 27 January, 2009 Saga needs to play from the start. Great point though after being 2-0 down. Why were we 2-0 down??? WTF was that selection about?
Gorgiesaint Posted 27 January, 2009 Posted 27 January, 2009 Another two points dropped because of a manager that hasnt got a f**king clue who his strongest team is, even though its obvious to the chimpanzees down the road in Marwell Zoo............ You have to actually wonder what Wotte has been doing all season, cos he sure as hell ain't been watching the football produced under JP. Put out the side that JP would have done & we're 2 down, playing useless football. Put a second striker & guess what happens....
.comsaint Posted 27 January, 2009 Posted 27 January, 2009 Well...after being 2-0 at HT - I am well chuffed that we managed to get a point out of the game. 4-5-1 first half; 4-4-2 second half. Wotte have you learned tonight Mark?
Ponty Posted 27 January, 2009 Posted 27 January, 2009 Brilliant work in the second half. The resurgence starts there? God I hope so.
Andy_Porter Posted 27 January, 2009 Posted 27 January, 2009 4-4-2 from here on in. Less of the negative crap, just keep it ****ing simple in future. Lets hope Saga keeps up this form, we might just have a fighting chance.
View From The Top Posted 27 January, 2009 Posted 27 January, 2009 So we start our best striker on the bench and play DM? upfront. Why? Maybe they've listened to Adrian telling everyone how our young hungry strikers will get 20 each this season or maybe that it's because the are as clueless as Adrian.
Seaford Saint Posted 27 January, 2009 Posted 27 January, 2009 Alpine moaned about Burley moaned about Port...and now moans about the guy who has just taken charge.....unreal.
sadoldgit Posted 27 January, 2009 Posted 27 January, 2009 I dont think they have ever had chimps at Marwell zoo. Looks like your local memory is going. When was the last time you went to a Saints match? I would have taken a point at the start of the game, even more so at half time. It might be disappointing tonight with other results but at the end of the season this point might make all the difference....but hey, let's just slag off the new manager anyway shall we?
Fan The Flames Posted 27 January, 2009 Posted 27 January, 2009 I dont think they have ever had chimps at Marwell zoo. Looks like your local memory is going. When was the last time you went to a Saints match? Yes they do, well they did when we visited a few summers back.
um pahars Posted 27 January, 2009 Posted 27 January, 2009 Why did that mug start with Saga on the bench as well? Couldn't believe that. Why not start with your strongest team:rolleyes:
Arizona Posted 27 January, 2009 Posted 27 January, 2009 Well, it was always going to be a disaster leaving out Euell, Saga, Skacel and BWP. Bringing 2 of them on saved our bascon, but I doubt we'll get away with that every time. If anything can be learned from this evening. PLAY MAREK MIROSLAW SAGANOWSKI (Rupert, he's the black haired one with the Polish accent who didn't stay up past his bedtime playing this evening.)
Neilza Posted 27 January, 2009 Posted 27 January, 2009 It's good to get a point from 2-0 down, but I don't care what way you look at it, dropping Saga was an absolutely sh1te decision! He was our best player vs. Donny, he scored our goal then and the second tonight. It was obvious to me that after his goal against Donny, he would have more confidence, especially more than mcgoldrick. Bad managerial decision imo.
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 27 January, 2009 Posted 27 January, 2009 Alpine moaned about Burley moaned about Port...and now moans about the guy who has just taken charge.....unreal. But he is right and you know it..
Master Bates Posted 27 January, 2009 Posted 27 January, 2009 If I was a tree, tall and green, I still wouldn't know, just what I mean. Great result considering, nice to play 4 4 f*cking 2!
Gemmel Posted 27 January, 2009 Posted 27 January, 2009 If Norwich had won, given the other results, it would have been a disaster, still not a great night, but could have been worse
View From The Top Posted 27 January, 2009 Posted 27 January, 2009 How many of our relegation rivals hve we beaten in January? And that's why we are going down. Thanks Rupert, you cu nt.
rocknrollman no2 Posted 27 January, 2009 Posted 27 January, 2009 Ok its a good comeback, but its not enough, especially when all the teams around us won. Same mistakes still being made. Doesnt change my opinion that with Lowe,Wotte and the rest of the Dutch nobodies here,we will still go down.
sadoldgit Posted 27 January, 2009 Posted 27 January, 2009 Why were we 2-0 down??? WTF was that selection about? The bloke has been the manager for one game, give him a chance. He made changes and it worked. Isn't thta something to be hapy about. Most of us would have been well happy with a point before the game. Hopefully he will have learned from tonight and we will kick on from here.
alpine_saint Posted 27 January, 2009 Posted 27 January, 2009 I would have taken a point at the start of the game, even more so at half time. It might be disappointing tonight with other results but at the end of the season this point might make all the difference....but hey, let's just slag off the new manager anyway shall we? Yes, let's slag him off, because it appears he has leant jack-shiiit so far this season.
um pahars Posted 27 January, 2009 Posted 27 January, 2009 ....but hey, let's just slag off the new manager anyway shall we? When he has played a massive part in the fck up to date and continues it by playing our best striking option just behind the bucket and sponge, then I think he'll get a bit of stick.
Fan The Flames Posted 27 January, 2009 Posted 27 January, 2009 If our goals came from the bench did Wotte get it wrong tonight
Legod Third Coming Posted 27 January, 2009 Posted 27 January, 2009 I would have taken a point at the start of the game, even more so at half time. It might be disappointing tonight with other results but at the end of the season this point might make all the difference....but hey, let's just slag off the new manager anyway shall we? And what if we go down by a point and started with an international striker on the bench when we can't score for toffee...
BadgerBadger Posted 27 January, 2009 Posted 27 January, 2009 Good fightback, but I make it that the gap to safety has widened after tonight. Another plus point of the evening is that I think Derby are in the bottom three as well!!!! But with a game in hand
Dibden Purlieu Saint Posted 27 January, 2009 Posted 27 January, 2009 Another two points dropped because of a manager that hasnt got a f**king clue who his strongest team is, even though its obvious to the chimpanzees down the road in Marwell Zoo............ Not down your road...
sadoldgit Posted 27 January, 2009 Posted 27 January, 2009 But he is right and you know it.. He moaned about a manager who effectively won every other game? Yes of course he was right.........
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 27 January, 2009 Posted 27 January, 2009 Ok its a good comeback, but its not enough, especially when all the teams around us won. Same mistakes still being made. Doesnt change my opinion that with Lowe,Wotte and the rest of the Dutch nobodies here,we will still go down. Have to agree we got a point but went backwards... Lowe out,Wilde out,Wotte out,Gorre out, that other dutch adviser **** out...
Sheff Saint Posted 27 January, 2009 Posted 27 January, 2009 Not sure that was the team selection of a man that's watched us as often as he has! But his subs made a massive difference! But a point is a point, and this was massive. It is tight down there still, there's a little group on 30 points, we can catch them on Saturday so long as we're not at, er, erm, oh... home!
badgerx16 Posted 27 January, 2009 Posted 27 January, 2009 A point gained, what else can you say FFS? In our position : NOT GOOD ENOUGH. The team selection was poor, the tactical line-up was the same as has proved disastrous for most of the season, and taking other results into consideration we are worse off than before kick-off. :(
alpine_saint Posted 27 January, 2009 Posted 27 January, 2009 The bloke has been the manager for one game, give him a chance. Unacceptable. He is not "new" he has been at the club and working with these players, and watching our performances ALL season. As has been said countless times on here since before the weekend, every attempt to promote from within at this club has been an unmitigated disaster......
Neilza Posted 27 January, 2009 Posted 27 January, 2009 Very pleased for Mclaggon though! Looks a good prospect, genuine pace, start him AND Saga on sat!
Robsk II Posted 27 January, 2009 Posted 27 January, 2009 Good on them for coming back, regardless of anything else.
