Holmes_and_Watson Posted 6 January, 2024 Posted 6 January, 2024 Another lovely move, with us exploiting every bit of space we were given. From Fraser to Alcaraz and a good finish under some pressure, and at an angle from Adams. Adams has come on and as usual, just got on with taking up all the right positions waiting for his chances. Always good to see lots of generally unoticed stuff pay off.

OttawaSaint Posted 6 January, 2024 Posted 6 January, 2024 Alcaraz takes a lot of stick but he gets fucking stuck in. He's won countless 40-60 balls, has made some sublime passes and never stops trying to contribute. 9

Bad Wolf Posted 6 January, 2024 Posted 6 January, 2024 if we get a pen, who takes it? Dibling to get a goal or Fraser to get his hatrick?

saintwbu Posted 6 January, 2024 Posted 6 January, 2024 Alcaraz has so much ability, but is still extremely raw having only been in the country about 1 calendar year. He has the potential to win games on his own, and has carried us in a couple of games already in that time. How anyone thinks he is anything other than a good player is beyond me - not to say he’s not frustrating mind! 9 1
Saint Fan CaM Posted 6 January, 2024 Posted 6 January, 2024 Blimey another kid on - Cameron Bragg 18yo midfielder! 1
Holmes_and_Watson Posted 6 January, 2024 Posted 6 January, 2024 Wallsall's Foulkes just handing back the "Come back with 5 goals" ringbinder to the coaches. 3
Holmes_and_Watson Posted 6 January, 2024 Posted 6 January, 2024 Smallbone looking very much the veteran, linking up with Bragg and Dibling there. 🙂

Saint NL Posted 6 January, 2024 Posted 6 January, 2024 Not sure this Dibling has what it takes, he's wearing short sleeves and gloves. Either commit to it or don't, but going half arsed just makes you look unprepared. 6
SNSUN Posted 6 January, 2024 Posted 6 January, 2024 Joe Lumley must be the most patient man in the world. Waits months for a game and then hardly has to do anything. The life of the back up keeper. Speaking of which, McC must be loving life right now....
Holmes_and_Watson Posted 6 January, 2024 Posted 6 January, 2024 Nice from Stpehens to pick out Alcaraz there. We had a moment with Charles, Smallbone and Bragg within a short distance of each other. Another reminder in this line up, Smallbone can get forward, whch he did. Dibling looking to take them on. Which at 4-0 up suits everyone. 1
OttawaSaint Posted 6 January, 2024 Posted 6 January, 2024 Smartphone torches on. You could just make out Lord Ducky getting led away by police, face beetroot red with anger... 6
Holmes_and_Watson Posted 6 January, 2024 Posted 6 January, 2024 I think Fraser is annoye as much because of all the effort he expends on those offside runs, as the offside itself. 🙂
Chez Posted 6 January, 2024 Posted 6 January, 2024 Dibling is a big solid lad. Bragg on the other hand looks like he might blow over if there is a strong wind. 1

Holmes_and_Watson Posted 6 January, 2024 Posted 6 January, 2024 Stephens trying too much there. He should know better than that. Smallbone would normally do that 2 foot pass back to Baz, but not to Lumley. Dibling should play to the whistle.
Holmes_and_Watson Posted 6 January, 2024 Posted 6 January, 2024 Just a little much on the pass from Dibling. Did well to win it and pass it though.
Holmes_and_Watson Posted 6 January, 2024 Posted 6 January, 2024 We're certianly trying to tee up Fraser for his hat trick. Just not quite getting it too him smoothly.
adrian lord Posted 6 January, 2024 Posted 6 January, 2024 Lovely easy win, and a run out for some new blood. 2
Saint NL Posted 6 January, 2024 Posted 6 January, 2024 All over, fairly straightforward apart from a few mins after half time. Clean sheet, another game unbeaten and into the draw for the next round. Can't argue with that.
Toadhall Saint Posted 6 January, 2024 Posted 6 January, 2024 oh and that lot down the road lose at Cheltenham 4
Saint Matty 76 Posted 6 January, 2024 Posted 6 January, 2024 Lovely stuff Give us anyone outside the top 7/8 Prem teams at home in the next round and I'll fancy us

saintant Posted 6 January, 2024 Posted 6 January, 2024 Wee Man clearly man of the match, superb all game plus two well taken goals. Meghoma the young left back was excellent, really impressed with him today and looks to have a big future. Dibbling looked very confident and tried hard to get a goal. The young midfielder Bragg came on and got involved and looked very comfortable. Lumley was excellent and very vocal. Charley sloppy in large parts but think he got a couple of assists. Too much walking football for my liking but in the end it was an easy win. 4

But yes, other players were brilliant (Lumley, THB namely) but Fraser was utterly incredible, League Two opposition or not.

I thought the LB was a little shaky defensively in the 1st half, but look well at home in the 2nd.
Steve Cadiz Posted 6 January, 2024 Posted 6 January, 2024 Although didn't have too much to do today, I thought Lumley was calm and composed when called into action. Well done lads another win. Bournemouth in the next round would be a good test to see what level we are at now. 1
