LuckyNumber7 Posted 16 July, 2024 Posted 16 July, 2024 Why is it so fucking difficult to put stripes on the back of the shirt? 1

Pretty much, same design. Away shorts are Navy with Yellow. Pretty sure its a UEFA/EPL rule that prohibits striped backs. Has been since 2015 ish I think. Edited 16 July, 2024 by Hopper 1

The Kraken Posted 16 July, 2024 Posted 16 July, 2024 No idea why all of our kits have to have the cheap, terrible looking massive vinyl sponsor over the front. Every year the same. The Starling Bank one actually looks alright. 3

SNSUN Posted 16 July, 2024 Posted 16 July, 2024 I don't mind the shirt, I don't like the sponsor - but whatever the club thinks is financially our best option then so be it. I get the home shirt as a Christmas present from the wife every year so it's not like I have to spend my own hard earned on it. I do need a new Saints hoody though...
bpsaint Posted 16 July, 2024 Posted 16 July, 2024 Why do we persist with plain backs, they look shit. 1
JCBSaint Posted 16 July, 2024 Posted 16 July, 2024 It’s ok, clean, simple, just a shame it’s a plain back, I just don’t get that. There’s no need, a black number would have looked great on a striped back. I won’t get one because of that. Maybe next year.
goodymatt Posted 16 July, 2024 Posted 16 July, 2024 Kits are fine, sponsor does ruin them but if that’s the biggest offer then we take it. For me red and white stripes for home and a yellow away kit is my preference, so can’t complain. 2

sadoldgit Posted 16 July, 2024 Posted 16 July, 2024 (edited) Don’t mind the shirts although the bib effect is a bit strange. Much prefer the home shirt to last year’s effort. Is the third kit really pink? Agree with everyone about the sponsor’s logo. Edited 16 July, 2024 by sadoldgit
Sidney Fudpucker the 3rd Posted 16 July, 2024 Posted 16 July, 2024 Said for years that we should wear yellow & black, not yellow & blue. However, The kits are fairly bobbins. Home looks like a non-league affair. Sponsor looks terrible. Complete lack of imagination, again. 2

JCBSaint Posted 16 July, 2024 Posted 16 July, 2024 8 minutes ago, Hopper said: It's a UEFA/EPL Guideline sadly. I know there’s a guideline for those who qualify but we don’t! I just think it’s a ridiculous rule no matter the team, we have been watching striped backs for decades, now somebody that probably had nothing to do that day decides we all have to have plain backs, we could see the numbers perfectly fine years ago, now somehow it’s too difficult? Absolutely ridiculous, it ruins a kit in my opinion. At least for another year I save on having to buy one. 2
Dr Who? Posted 16 July, 2024 Posted 16 July, 2024 Waited all this time for that. Not that I will buy it for myself, but will for the boy. I will only get training tops, and they are not up to much.

Cascadia Saint Posted 16 July, 2024 Posted 16 July, 2024 (edited) Someone needs to mockup a Draper Tools logo exactly the same size as this shite logo and then sell it as an iron on patch on Etsy. Edited 16 July, 2024 by Cascadia Saint 1
Holmes_and_Watson Posted 16 July, 2024 Posted 16 July, 2024 Looks okay. Basic, with a decent collar, feature at the bottom to give it a boost and an interesting back. The away kit looks more than okay. Shame I missed the stream, but I didn't want to risk flashbacks of cringy work events. 2

hypochondriac Posted 16 July, 2024 Posted 16 July, 2024 Quite like the away kit. Home kit is pretty low effort though. 1

Sidney Fudpucker the 3rd Posted 16 July, 2024 Posted 16 July, 2024 I guess that kit manufacturers knock up a handful of designs for the club to then choose the ones they like best? If this is the case then whoever has the final say at Saints clearly has little taste. Other than last season, which was a safe bet as it was a replica of a popular 80's kit, Saints shirts have been piss poor for years. It can't be a case of every manufacturer being rubbish at designing kits. They seem to do ok with other clubs so it must be that we have Stevie Wonder making the final decision.

Osvaldorama Posted 16 July, 2024 Posted 16 July, 2024 I like them, just wish the criminal sponsor badge was a bit smaller Ruins the whole shirt 1
Sidney Fudpucker the 3rd Posted 16 July, 2024 Posted 16 July, 2024 The more I look at these the more I think Cambridge Utd & Exeter City. 😩 1
Polaroid Saint Posted 16 July, 2024 Posted 16 July, 2024 The home kit on the players look okay, if utterly uninspired. The ones hanging up in the shop look shockingly terrible. I think it's the extra fabric in XL etc, is adding an extra white strip of stripe ? Is that what is happening? Looks horrid. Otherwise, three plain white stripes down the front of a red kit with black trim is pretty much what you'd expect/want from a ' traditional ' Saints kit. No? 1

Saint86 Posted 16 July, 2024 Posted 16 July, 2024 (edited) The home kit is atrocious. Reminds me of the old flybe exeter kit (which was better). Struggle to nail "lower league" better if we had tried. Edited 16 July, 2024 by Saint86 1
Saint Garrett Posted 16 July, 2024 Posted 16 July, 2024 Not sure Puma have ever made a decent kit. Such a shame we’ve gone with them. Really poor effort, and a shocking sponsor logo. Looks so cheap. How very underwhelming 5

I wonder if we’re the only fans who do this or if the Arsenal forum is full of people saying, “it looks like a Bristol City kit,” every summer.
Paul Chuckle Posted 16 July, 2024 Posted 16 July, 2024 (edited) Just cracked opened a bottle of Kingfisher, dimmed the lights and going to put the opening 30 mins of the kit launch on and pretend I'm there mingling with Southamptons best fans and influencers. Sidney Fudpucker the 3rd Posted 16 July, 2024 Posted 16 July, 2024 Huddersfield Town and Brighton have really great designs for next season. I look at both shirts and think, these would look great in red & white. Instead we end up with what looks like a non-league shirt. 1
Patrick Bateman Posted 16 July, 2024 Posted 16 July, 2024 I hate stripes anyway, always look crap, but that's a whole level of new crap, definitely made worse by the toy town looking sponsor 🤮 3

saintnick Posted 16 July, 2024 Posted 16 July, 2024 Not bad but not great, the sponsor logo just spoils it and distracts from anything good. Meh
