Looks decent in the publicity photo, but not sure why Puma are obsessed with giving the stripes a curved bib appearance. Also it's a solid yellow back. Ah well, we managed with pink and red this season so I should be able to cope with five years of this sort of nonsense.

Here’s the Puma link to see it from all angles. Are we going to see Saints shirts costing £80?! Hummel shirt was £55 last season.

Is that one of their players... Because he's either got a bit a belly on him, or this is about to be the most unflattering striped shirt saints have had for a while!! 😨😅

It’ll only cost you anything if you’re one of the muppets that chooses to buy it. 😂

I’ve not bought a football shirt for maybe a decade.

Well done you.
I don’t buy them either unless at the end of the season on the cheap, however with a 3 month year old, I’m looking forward to getting him his first shirt.
Maybe that makes me a muppet.

i suspect it will be. England kids football shirts £65 in sports direct, obscene. No wonder so many people are going to fake sites as there are some good copies about for 1/5th of the price. It's great getting your kid their first kit, unfortunately mine was when we were going though that period of dominating the far easgt so his first one was the plain red shirt from the early days of the premier league last time round. We did get bought a nice saints red and white striped baby grow though so wasn't all bad.

I think they’ve already stated ‘conventional stripes’ so more likely to be similar to the Lens shirt.

Either of them are okay, but ruined by the plain back in my view.

At that age you could probably get away with buying last season’s. - Straight out of the Katie Hopkins School of Parenting.

The Lens kit is nice. A bit basic but tbh you can't really go wrong with classic red and white stripes. Happy for them to mix it up a little like Hummel did in the following seasons

Posting pic to save people clicking the links. I like this but does feel a bit more Stoke/Sunderland than Saints with white being dominant. Assuming a white back?

Nice, but would much prefer a black collar and sleeve ends.

When we go red and white stripes everyone comes out with, it’s too Stoke or too Sunderland, too Brentford or too Sheff Utd

so what would a red and white stripe shirt need to look like to not be that??!

only so much you can do.

I think red just needs to be the main colour, “come on you reds!”. I like it though, nice change and very 2012 promotion kit.

I guess something that has distinguished our striped kits in the past has been when it's had black trim? (although I think Sheff Utd tend to go with black trim too?)

Back in the 60’s I bought a second hand red and white stripped shirt to kick around in (bear in mind I lived in London). The kid I used to kick around with was also a Saints fan and asked why I was wearing that shirt. I told him it was the nearest thing I could get to a Saints shirt at the time (it had a white neck) but he wouldn’t have it and kept saying it was a Stoke shirt.
Things like that matter when you are a kid 😢

Plain white back will ruin it in my book. Not difficult surely.
