Suhari Posted 26 December, 2023 Posted 26 December, 2023 Wonder what the anti-Russ Swans fans make of this? 1
adrian lord Posted 26 December, 2023 Posted 26 December, 2023 Still another quarter of an hour to go.
Holmes_and_Watson Posted 26 December, 2023 Posted 26 December, 2023 KWP goes on a mazy run, as we're 3 up. However, Adams who started in the midfield in that move linking up with Alcaraz was the man waiting in the middle for a decent delivery. There's a lot of that in our game, where Adams takes up good positions.
OttawaSaint Posted 26 December, 2023 Posted 26 December, 2023 No live table? I think @trousers must have removed his trousers.
AlexLaw76 Posted 26 December, 2023 Posted 26 December, 2023 GD (at the time of writing) 6 behind Leeds and 3 behind Ipswich....the big disadvantage in that area all but wiped out.....

stknowle Posted 26 December, 2023 Posted 26 December, 2023 Come on.! Turning the possession into comfortable wins now.

Holmes_and_Watson Posted 26 December, 2023 Posted 26 December, 2023 Adams part of a structure press that results in an unforced error form them. 1) Yet another example of how much better we do that. 2) That Adams and Fraser can do a 2 man press 3) That we are still putting the work in. AA off for Mara. A quierter game for AA. Partly because of the way we've set up today. But he was dilligently working his socks off all game. Glad to see him get a breather though, with so many fixtures.

Holmes_and_Watson Posted 26 December, 2023 Posted 26 December, 2023 Mara so nearly on the end of that. Nice work from Manning. 1

I didn't like his early stubbornness but he's shown flexibility and seems to learn from previous matches/situations. I like this. Was probably unfair for me to be so critical early on but after all we'd been though it felt we had another pretender as manager. Hope we can keep improving and learning. We do still sometimes slip back to the needless slow possession that marred his early games. 1

Holmes_and_Watson Posted 26 December, 2023 Posted 26 December, 2023 Aribo taking up the Smallbone poistion as we pass it out of defence. He's keen to get it back, and 20 seconds later is supporting Mara in midfield (and having a word in Joe Allan's ear when he fouls Mara)

When we're at our best it is a fantastic thing to watch. 3

Holmes_and_Watson Posted 26 December, 2023 Posted 26 December, 2023 Martin is going to be thrilled at the work rate, that the possession after all the subs has led to dominance and that we're creating chances against a side who just can;t cope with us. I guess there will be some of him that will also see it as a sign of the progression of his own tactics in a different (and more lucrative) set up.

macca155 Posted 26 December, 2023 Posted 26 December, 2023 However will want Frazer back. Excellent finish. 4 0 lovely
Holmes_and_Watson Posted 26 December, 2023 Posted 26 December, 2023 Another lovely move. KWP linking up well with Aribo. He's been so good today, Mara in a good position and Fraser is such a key finisher for us. 1
Greedyfly Posted 26 December, 2023 Posted 26 December, 2023 Dare I say Mara's last few sub appearances have been that much better too! Great stuff! 4

allsa001 Posted 26 December, 2023 Posted 26 December, 2023 I am hoping the Ips vs Leic game might be a draw tonight, as I think we could win the league in this form
Ex Lion Tamer Posted 26 December, 2023 Posted 26 December, 2023 Honestly, Mara has got something if we persist 6

Holmes_and_Watson Posted 26 December, 2023 Posted 26 December, 2023 Admas runs into their defence and they get a break. But we're so well drilled in getting players back now.
