How’s the early table looking then?

Very nice. Win today and if Ipswich lose to Leicester then it's only 4pts off 2nd. Long way to go yet though!

Should have been two. Tame effort in the end.

It's a tough one from there though, pretty much get as clean contact as possible and hope it finds a corner or gap. He hit it well but it was right at the keeper.

More excellent passing from Edozie on the left right across to Aribo. Just needing that space for a final pass.

Stephens gets it, goes central and that's a loveley weighted pass for AA to get a shot. Moments later Edozie puts one across the face of goal, waitng for a tap in.

It's a shame all our players are involved in the build up. We need one of the,m to be in two places at once, to get on the end of the moves.

How can anyone not enjoy this...?

We are on a different level to them. Edozie has been brilliant.

Not winning would be a travesty

The tempo has been very good. I think that when we play slow and ponderous it gets very boring and predictable.

This though, this is better.

Another thing to note is that we're not just closing down space. We're absolutely crowding them out defensively. Back in lots of numbers when we need to be.

Always that it's just the one goal lead in the back of the mind though...

Interesting passing out form the back from us. Swansea obviosuly knwo what we're doing there. But we played to the next man up on the wing, rhather than the obvious pass, looking to unlock them quicker and catch them out.

Only just managed to tune in, how's the performance so far? What was the goal like?

After 2 good chances very early for Swansea (they should have scored 1 of them), it has been all saints since about 10 mins, out goal was heavily deflected, after a brilliant run by Edozie

Grimes, Humphreys, and Pattinson, certainly aren't rubbish. Swansea look a decent side. Good measure as to how well Saints are playing.

Stephens is certainly adding to the defense and midfield. Good to see.

Sort of following today. Have SSN on at the 'rents house but they're trying to wrestle control...

Second goal please Saints. Would be nice to not have to worry about a game as it enters the closing stages.

Very good performance so far.

Need a second to settle the nerves and I imagine Swansea will come out fired up second half.

Fair play Edozie, been absolutely class today. Shame no one has been on the end of his crosses

Solid first half display and deservedly ahead. We look quite comfortable and my only worry is that Manning continues to drift into that inverted position leaving oceans of space on his flank. Not sure why he does this as he leaves the defence exposed.  There should be more goals and we need to keep getting the ball out to Edozie who is on fire.

-Interesting set up
-57% possession, but we were more dominant with it than higher %s in other games
-Excellently worked goal.
-We created lots of build up play, but use up all our players doing it, so there's noone waiting for a final pass. So, not many actual shots.
-Swansea, who obviously know how we play really well, had a couple of early opportunities. But one at least is form an area we seem more comfortable giving opponents opportunities from. The other was from a set piece.
-They tried a couple of long cross field passes to catch us out, but haven't landed any of them.
- The interchanging and movement of our team is causign them all sorts of problems.
- Stephens might not be quite as sharp as some of the others due to his time out, but looks very keen to get us moving forward, while providing that bit of extra support at the back.
- Aribo offers more physicality than Adams, and has become so much mor emobile as the season has gone on. He's done well again, even though some of our style may not be the best fit for him sometimes.

Good half of Football from Saints.  Survived the early pressure from Swansea and have controlled the situation since.  Edozie and Airibo providing speed and craft.    Downes handling the holding role well.   Stu busy and a couple of good chances for AA; KWP the usual Rolls Royce.     4-3-3 formation looks to be working well - perhaps Swansea being given too much space down their left flank - tighten up Manning.      Let's hope Saints press for a second - can see a cameo from Alcaraz coming.

Ref is incredibly biased with the cards - someone needs to be making a noise in the officials dressing room in the break.

Yeah, this. The two he gave us in quick succession were very soft, but the two that he then ignored for Swansea were far more obvious.
