Saint_clark Posted 24 December, 2023 Share Posted 24 December, 2023 Not massively, let's be honest. Aribo is the only one that will go and there's a chance Nigeria go out in the groups with Ivory Coast and E. Guinea in there.
Colinjb Posted 24 December, 2023 Share Posted 24 December, 2023 A shame for Jo that he will be away just when he is finally starting to get a good run in the side. But, good luck to him.
Toussaint Posted 24 December, 2023 Share Posted 24 December, 2023 Aribo is getting a run, but he’s still a very poor player imo and would not be missed in the slightest.

Not sure on Leeds. Mad having a tournament during the season plus transfer window as well.

Leicester have a few big names, if they’re going to suffer a drop in form it’ll be then. Iheanacho, Ndidi, Fatawu and Daka all going. Ipswich captain Morsy plays for Egypt. Leeds don’t have any. West Brom lose Ajayi at the back and their best player Diangana, so hopefully the divide gets a bit bigger.
SaintBobby Posted 24 December, 2023 Share Posted 24 December, 2023 Aribo would be a loss tbh. He's been very good recently. Sulemana has been absent.
Chewy Posted 25 December, 2023 Share Posted 25 December, 2023 I posted the below on another thread a couple of days ago. I’m pretty sure the below is accurate. “Ref the afcon and Asia cup, I think it’s only Leicester at a disadvantage. Fatawu, Daka, Soutter, Iheanacho and Ndidi all likely absent. We lose Aribo and Kamaldeen, Ipswich probably only Burgess (Luongo retired from internationals, Morsy hasn’t been picked for Egypt for months) and Leeds don’t lose anyone. If a team makes the final it’s possibly 5 league games they miss. Obviously we’ve been without Kamaldeen for a while and with Shea and Charlie have options instead of Aribo so I’m not overly concerned at our predicament - but we don’t gain any real advantage here over Ipswich. FWIW the impacted Leicester games are Coventry away, Ipswich home, Swansea home, Stoke away and Watford away. Not the toughest set apart from Ipswich, although Coventry is a local rivalry.”
