I did notice the Split part in this ramble, but discounted as Solak is Serbian. They hate Croatia so it is a surprise.

I'm surprised not to see a 'George' clue anywhere on the thread given Juric is the Slavic derivation of the name. Missed opportunity there I reckon :)

Ah...got it....just realised the stable lad is called George...Damn, there it was staring us in the face all along! ;)

Look at the colour, off red the colours of his last two clubs, Torino and Roma. The number 1 to indicate he is our first choice. The horse is jumping a hurdle which indicates there were no barriers to cross like there was with our second choice. But the most obvious clue is the horse is called  Ivans Hero. You asked for names I give you names and still people say we don’t know anything 🤦‍♂️

another great reveal by the CoT

no need to thank me we don’t do it for that

Please can you give me the name of your dealer. I think I’d enjoy some of whatever it is you’re on.

Obviously a name could be libellous but if you look closely at the sponsor on the second jockey…. Say no more 🥸

If you don’t understand the clues that’s not my fault. They’re about as obvious as we can make them

Of all the thousands of race horses in The world I just got lucky again and chose one that was the same name as our new manager. It’s incredible how lucky I get like when we signed Aaron Ramsdale out of all the thousands of bible verses I got lucky and picked one with the name Aaron in it. Don’t know anything just  So lucky over and over again

Well there's a few problems with your explanation Turkish.

The main one is that the only horse I can find that's called Ivan's hero runs on the flat in Australia, and that's definitely not the horse  wearing the No 1 in the picture which is running in the colours of Mr T G Leslie, yellow with grey sleeves and royal blue seams. The colours of the second horse is red and white. By the way the obstacle they are jumping is a fence not a hurdle.

So nice try but overall a bit of a fail.

Oh come on Turkish has been working for hours on that explanation. 😀

When did you put the verse in as Aaron had been rumoured to be coming here for months, even after the playoff final

I think your 'explanation' is pretty conclusively wrong

Thanks for all the lovely DMs and kind messages thanking me for the clues I gave earlier in the week.

I'm amazed how many of you got it right first time. Obviously I need to be more cryptic next time 😉

Let's hope our man travelling North from Split can do the job here at his new home port.

It’ll probably be a tedious link based on the colours. There are enough there to spin a story to a team they have managed historically.

Shock horror I was right.

Normally i'm a great supporter of the CofT but on this occasion  i feel probably like many on here that we've been let down. I won't ask you to hang your heads in shame but i think some soul searching and a public (maybe own thread) apology is called for. Shame.
