Was an ESPN stream, although british pundits. Can only assume they were blackburn fans or skates. Apparently Mara bought the pen... WTF

😂 Not sure how the defender had the gall to scream in the refs face either. Went right through Mara.

Very good all round performance. No coincidence that Bree replaced Manning and Che was out. We looked so much better.

Great that Wednesday beat QPR today too - they’ll be hopefully subdued for our next game.

OK, hatred was the wrong word. There's definitely an undercurrent of negativity towards him from some quarters though.

He's a young lad who's only been this side of the world for less than a year, and he's still very much a work in progress.

I thought he played very well today, if we can forgive that horrific penalty attempt. Like Mara, there is definitely still more to come from him.

Stop paying attention to the people who spend their entire lives on social media. Their brains have been damaged from over exposure to the algorithms.

Didn't get to see the game. Any thoughts on why we were seemingly so much more potent going forward? - and I know they were down to 10 but it seems we were at it for most of the game. Something must have been tweaked tactically.

The criticism of Alcaraz reminds me of the type of stick that Tadic used to get from dome fans. It tends to be a vocal minority though.

2nd half especially saw a definitate shift to moving the ball forward more quickly, even before their sending off (which was a ridiculous 2nd yellow to get)

Smallbone passed up the opportunity to have a similar shot a little while back. Martin has been pushing him to add that to his locker. Second time of asking, he takes the touch. But the good thing about it is that we've got players lookig to get on the end of clear moves. Just like the third. It adds structure to other bits of MartinBall, where our own players take advantage of gaps, which could appear in lots of places.

Massive unbeaten run.
Nice to get 3 points after the frustrating draws (note that it's good that the draws were frustrating, rather than us hanging on for points)
Both Aribo and Stu look fitter, sharper and happier all the time. Both are handfuls for any opponent.
Edozie lost a little bit of sharpness after being out the team, but clearly has improved and getting more minutes only helps.
It's a busy period, and getting other players on the end of things can only help AA, who works his socks off, and will be disapointed not to have got more in recent games.
There's clearly more to come. We were patient, but looking for a direct pass more today. Blackburn weren't good enough to stop us doing it. We're developing moves and structire within that patient build up, and Martin will be looking to create and finish more of our space and opportunities.
Getting that second allowed a solid use of subs today. All of them did well. With lots of players getting minutes, we've got a happier squad.
Bree and KWP look to give us a more balance. Although Maritn might like Manning and KWP, the freedom KWP gets, makes that a little awkward. With Bree, that freedom can be used even more, and we saw that today.
Nice to see more goals for us, and we had other chances too (not least Alcaraz's penalty. Players always look dumb when those don;t come off, so maybe just do the job will be the message going forward.)
We worked to the end, with our subs giving us more strenght, and Blackburn just couldn't keep up. Even if they'd had eleven, they would have found that closing spell tough to live with.

Similar to how we played Vs Leeds and Cardiff. Maybe this time around we won't revert to the ultra-safe version of Russ-ball in the following games...

Thanks. Proves we can do it so hopefully it becomes the norm.

Cheers, let's hope we push on and adopt this more adventurous football and ditch the walking footie.

Alcaraz’s performance have been nowhere near the level of what Tadic used to do for us, even at this level. He gets criticised because his performances are regularly substandard. He’s young and clearly has talent but it remains to be seen whether he can deliver on that or just be another Mayuka, Juanmi or Griffit.

This. I like him. I think he's a brilliant asset to have at this level but just nowhere near as great as certain people make him out to be.

Good, convincing win against an atrocious team. They were bad enough before the sending off to be fair. Couple of results gone our way too so all in all a good win. Ipswich have Leeds next weekend too so another opportunity to get above Leeds.

Not sure if that's good or bad, but it won't be the same thing we've watched over the last few games 🤷

My plums were correct once again.

I'll be sure to let you know any feelings I have in my testes before the QPR game 👍

I think they have leeds, and then leicester. If we win the next 2 and things, could be looking a lot rosier.

Sods law is they'll beat leeds and draw with leicester - doing us bugger all favours really.

Right now, all we really need, is for them to just drop points and have the pressure of teams breathing down their necks - for this reason i'd take leeds beating them all day long. They've got a far smaller squad and the busy winter period is coming. We're clearly going to make play offs as a minimum and will just keep grinding out points - If ispwich can drop points in both the next two games we really should be catching them by the end of the season.

Pompey are going up - i do not want to be in this league playing them with Russball at kraP nottarF next season 🤮.

Bree for Manning, but playing RB with KWP playing LB allowed Edozie to just focus on beating their right back... and he had him on toast every three minutes until Edozie was swapped for Fraser. Stu Armstrong play like a midfield maestro - back to his pre-covid best. We were cruising the whole game, never really in doubt.

Cheers and yes, it seemed that Edozie and Stu Armstrong had a lot to do with the overall performance. I think Stu is super important to us and if he can put together a run of performances at the levels we know he is capable of it's going to be a real boost to the side.

One of the best displays of the season. The two late goals were deserved and will do Mara and Alcatraz’s confidence good. Edozie dominated his full back today, great to have Downes back. Stu really on song today. Crucial save from Baz in the first half. KWP and Bree worked well tactically, and as others have commented the latter’s defensive solidity meant Edozie had licence to torment their full back.

Good win and should have been a lot more. Alcaraz missed pen was a bit juvenile but then again he is basically a juvenile and the apology was the right response along with the goal.
