I was lucky enough to grow up watching him play, trying to recreate these goals in the school playground every week, he was admired by kids who supported other clubs, a true football genius , can watch this over and over again

The best Southampton player of all time, it’s a crying shame he turned into an utter crank.

Wish we had a few potential future Cranks in this current shower…

How does he know it's his birthday? Just because he's been told it and has a piece of paper saying it? How do we know it's his birthday either?! Just because the media say it is?!

Joking I am! Happy Birthday, MLT!

In terms of the things he tweeted about Ukraine - Yes. Which he's pretty much since apologised for and all but admitted he was too thick to realise what he was actually retweeting.

With regards to Covid, I haven't followed his comments in depth but has he said anything THAT outrageous?

Recent interview with some good perspective about Saints and other matters.  Worth a watch:

‘Chelsea on Sea’ is a bit of a pisstake. Could you imagine.

Imagine if your son brought that home. You’d be devastated.

Christ on a bike, if my son brought that home I'd start believing in global conspiracies that THEY are out to get me.  Poor bloke, she's a solid 3, and that's being generous.

Poor Matt, genuinely, she's the epitome of a 'two bagger' - a bag over her head and one over yours in case her's falls off!

I'd slam the door in her face and warn him he's about to be disowned. Can't even begin to imagine having that in the family.... 🤮

I think there are a couple of factors which may prevent it from reaching her face.

30 years ago today was his unbelievable double v Newcastle at the Dell. For all you kids watch and admire we were a dreadful team at this time and he’d been dropped for 5 games before this match
