Crouch: Why I proposed changes

And if that's true (which, personally, I don't believe, otherwise why would they have each attended numerous games when they WEREN'T in the boardroom, in the same way that Leon Crouch is doing currently), so what? The end target is still exactly the same, i.e. an improvement in the financial situation at SFC, regardless of whether their investment is all they care about.

I would suggest that Crouch also cares quite a lot about his investment as well. £2m and he's not even got a guaranteed seat in the boardroom for that, and given that he's told the Echo that he doesn't have the £6m Lowe and Wilde have suggested he inject and then take their places, £2m is clearly still a lot of money to him.

But if they think that a threadbare club in League One would achieve that, should we accept it? From their actions you have to conclude either that they couldn't care less if we're relegated again or that they are utterly incompetent.

Why didn't they work with Crouch instead of ousting him in such a shambolic way?

If they truly cared about the club they would have done that.

IMO the only conclusions are that Lowe is motivated by revenge and a desire to keep the club solvent at all costs in the hope that by some fluke it might be worth some money again one day.

Wilde took a punt which backfired badly, he is terrified of his shares going down the pan and Lowe has got to him.

“I also agree with Matt Le Tissier (also in yesterday’s Echo) when he said the fans have got to unite behind the new manager.

Interesting, because when Le Tiss said this yesterday, the response was...

Sounds like the board have twisted MLT's and Franny's arm a bit..

Stop using club legends as mouthpieces Rupert.

Perhaps Franny's been promised a coaching spot as well if he behaves and toes the party line.

Such a shame that ex-players are being USED.

Because, we all know that MLT has been saying something quite different publicly on Sky, thats why. He has clearly been "threatened" in some way, as was David Armstrong (I don't mean with violence, but a gentle reminder that he is still an employee of the plc (like Franny) I believe. Told to toe the line. Unless you are completely nieve I cannot believe that you actually think this is a genuine quote from either of the guys.

What now then, girls? Are we to say that Crouch is "now in Lowe's pocket" or that "Lowe has got to him". Has he been "threatened" too? Maybe Crouch is one big Lowe luvvie after all?

Confusing this conspiracy stuff, aint it?

Think the issue here is obvious - Crouch is fortunate enough to have his 2 mil ready to put in.... unfortunately' date=' I would guess that both Wilde and Lowe do NOT have those kind of liquid assets to hand - If the injection of 6 mil was going to save the club and allow it to survive[/b'] - prop up the shareprice etc, and save their sahre investment then I have no doubt Wilde and Lowe would do their bit IF they had the cash available -if only to SAVE their investment - but I seriously do not think they do.

The question then is, does Crouch know this, because if so, is it not really a hollow offer no matter how generous, because he wont do this without the others who he knows cant?

Duncan (FF) reckons this is a cheap shot at Crouch who is obviously a fan prpared to put his money where his mouth is - which is fair enough, but I disagree, I would ask that questions direct to Leon:

Leon, I appreciate that this is a genuine offer and a very generous one at that considering the high risk involved that could in effect wipe out this loan to the club, but do you believe both Wilde and Lowe actually have this amount in liquid assets or are they simply refusing to be as generous.... because of the risk. I know if I had exactly 2mil my net wortyh so to speak, would I risk it all on saints? No

I f*ckin bet Lowe or Wilde could manage to mysteriously find 2 million if that was the asking price for their entire club, or valuable assets, post admin.

so what chance Wilde and Lowe will be gone by Saturday?

LC offers £2m - Wilde and Lowe want £6m.

Must be more people out there who could help.

Out of interest how much are the shares really worth - not the 20p quoted per share on the stock exchange? If someone said they wanted 100,000 shares at 10p would there be any sellers?

Since 22nd Jan all sells http://www.lse.co.uk/ShareTrades.asp?shareprice=SOO&share=southampton_ls

someone slowly reducing the number of shares they have?

Have to say I agree with the majority of this, I believe he really is prepared to put his money where his mouth is.

'I thought mine was a good proposal – it would have enabled us to get rid of our overdraft and give ourselves a fighting chance of bringing in some experienced players and an experienced English manager. '

Exactly what I have been calling for him to do. The only way of survival.

If Lowe and Wilde are not prepared to accept this what are their real plans?

Leon - aim higher than local businessmen and the Echo my frind. This is a good start, youre in tune with the team needs, fans and Club's survival needs.

You need to go national on this and ask for a buyer.

Go and sell this club. Tell it as it is in the International and national media.

Thank you - for your support and help.

To be fair steve lowe went to 4 games in 2.5 years, crouch has been to all bar one and drives to pretty much every away game.
