his main function was academy head, not knowing Jan don't know how much influence he was able to exert.

Not seen enough to say he isn't his own man yet.

He has stated he was used in an advisory capacity...

I know we need money but with swansea saying that they want him we should force the issue to our advantage. He has pace and seems to be improving. Bring him back as is our right and play him against Swansea. He could be the player we need for his position. If the Swans really want him they will offer us a better price. If they don't we play him and let him help us climb out of trouble in a better organised side.

Not suprised. Good winger who'll get better and is cheap.

Never understood why he got a hard time on here (besides the stealing!). Inconsistent, but has the pace, and far more ability than Smith, BWP, Thomson who've played right wing. He was brilliant at Burnley, and a few early games for us. Just needs a settled run in a side playing in the same position. Would be far happier with Holmes left and him right.

Thomson has all the end product of Dyer* AND he can defend. BWP has shown on a number of occasions to be more effective than Dyer in a Saints shirt.

The reason he doesn't get a settled run in a Saints shirt is because after three games he's usually been appallingly gash and a completely anonymous liability for at least one of them. And if he stands on the 'king ball or runs straight into a defender one more time, sheesh...

...I'm just glad he had Cranie to take apart in the Cup to give us a chance of getting money for him.

*This isn't saying much, why may be why he's on loan at the moment

Form is temporary but class is permanent. And Dyer ain't got none. Sell him while he's having his 3 good games a season. (Btw, I read somewhere that the Sheff Utd loan was with a view to a permanent transfer, but they obviously didn't fancy it)
