Andrew Watson Posted 23 September, 2023 Share Posted 23 September, 2023 We have one of the better squads on paper, however a useless intransigent manager and a board with little or no footballing knowledge are running the club into the ground. We are fast running out of saleable assets and we are 11 points off the leaders after only 8 games. At this moment in time the club is totally screwed and as usual the people who really suffer are us fans,6 years ago we were the top team on the South coast now we are the 3/4 [ only the blue few below us and they could join us,or heaven forbid swap places with us at the end of the season ]. We are continually told that we thoroughly scout are players, so why is it half of them do not want to be here ? maybe not quite half but you get the drift. The club is in as big a mess as it has ever been, never thought it would unravel so quickly after relegation and are we likely to roll over a Rotherham side who drew against the leaders today and only lost to Leicester by a very late goal. Most players that leave here do well at other clubs,is that a coincidence ? Could get beyond toxic at home to Leeds, especially if Piroe gets on the score sheet. The worst thing is that it can and probably will get worse and us fans will keep suffering and in some cases will not be watching the team live for the foreseeable future. Sorry to be so full of gloom, but it really is getting that bad and finally how we will we ever have the money to get back to the promised land, 200 -250 million.
HKsaint Posted 23 September, 2023 Share Posted 23 September, 2023 (edited) Yes on this trend, we will have no chance to play against Pompey next season. Bazunu has done a great job. Edited 24 September, 2023 by HKsaint
Andrew Watson Posted 24 September, 2023 Author Share Posted 24 September, 2023 Losing like winning is a habit and the players are becoming used to the latter. The toxic atmosphere at SMS if [ and when ] we go behind to Leeds will not help, however what do the club expect with the utter dross served up at home for much of the last 6 years. As I said the situation is becoming far worse and far quicker than us fans expected,a couple of wins on the bounce could lighten the mood, but where is even one win coming from.
