One thing I've learned from the last few games is that we can usually tell just from the starting line up whether we have a shot or not. Last week's starting line up with 3 central midfielders that don't add a lot was pants. One of Charles, Downes or Smallbone need to make way for a more attacking outlet like Charly or Stu (Willy, I'm looking at you presently) and Edozie, who has been our best player this season, needs to start. I'd also like to see Sulemana in from the start if at all possible. The back 5 are probably set in stone now (GB, KWP, THB, JB, RM), we just have to get right who plays in front of them.

Pretty unprecedented to be this late... Maybe Martin has thrown in the towel...? #conspiracytheoriesRUs

Edit: ah, looks like it's not far away...

Martin Presser...

  • Loved the intensity this week, been really good
  • The situation is what it is. Annoying & Painful
  • lots we need to work on and improved, and have narrowed down issues we need to fix
  • Hope all understand that we will behave in the same way and work relentlessly to improve
  • Really conscious that if it works I will be praised, if not, I will be called other things
  • We will never turn the other way or take massive diversions
  • Had good chats with the owners this week, and they are behind us and this direction
  • We will continue on this path and have no doubt that results will turn around
  • you cannot just be outcome based
  • we have to win, we know that. there are 38 games left and we will find consistency
  • When compared to the other relegated teams, we finished bottom, and Leicester did their work early in the summer
  • Leicester have had less change on the pitch
  • Leeds did their work early, whilst we are using league matches to get players match fit
  • it is not an excuse, it is a fact
  • Flynn has been one of those, and he is now ready after an outstanding week in training. Taylor will be better, and Mason will be better after a difficult start
  • Now is the time to show it on the pitch
  • Piroe is an outstanding player, but was never an option due to what we already have at the club. Yes, I would have wanted him.
  • He is one of the best strikers in the league, no doubt. He would have added to the group, but was never an option and we have fantastic players already here
  • Stewart will be brilliant for us
  • Whoever we are playing tomorrow is important due to obvious reasons. They play in a similar way to us
  • they had a slow start and now into it, only 3 points ahead
  • we have to give a performance that is what we are about, we should have had more points from the last 2 games
  • time to bring it now, more intensity and aggression

He did get the message across that the owners have spoken to him this week and are well behind him. But also acknowledges that a line in the sand has been drawn and it is time to start showing the intensity and aggression of what his football is all about....

We shall see.

Indeed. By the way, Impressive speed with the summary sir... Do you use a voice-to-text app or are you a super-human typer?!

Yours curiously.... :)

I think we went with Stewart just because he was cheaper than Piroe. How can Martin say Piroe was never as option due to the talent we already had but then go and sign a new striker who will be ‘brilliant for us’. Jacob Tanswell (Athleic) tweeted recently that Dragan wanted more control on spending, which would support why we went with the cheaper option. It was reported Piroe was interested in coming here but Leeds wanted him more, I think we would have stepped up our interest if Che had been sold earlier in the window. It’s a shame it didn’t work out that way, as he will walk for less in January or nothing at season's end.

Martin said earlier in the season that Adam Armstrong could do the role Piroe would do so maybe that's the talent already here he is referring too.

If he means Adam Armstrong, he needs to get in the fucking bin.

Worst decision the club has made since replacing VvD with Hodet

To be fair to Russell he probably didn't make that call, he has decision makers above him. What's he supposed to say under those circumstances. I bet he's tempted to say "I'm taking all of this shit and no one else is being called to account"

Same as every other week then, great.

  • lots we need to work on and improved, and have narrowed down issues we need to fix

The main issue being yourself in the dugout, Martin?

  • Had good chats with the owners this week, and they are behind us and this direction

It comes as no surprise, they're just as clueless as you

  • you cannot just be outcome based

He's right to a degree. The problem is, performances have been fucking shite as well.

  • When compared to the other relegated teams, we finished bottom, and Leicester did their work early in the summer
  • Leicester have had less change on the pitch
  • Leeds did their work early, whilst we are using league matches to get players match fit

Some of the sensible ones on here called this early doors. We were told Leicester have had to sell a load, we can't buy the market is slow until the end of the window etc.

  • Piroe is an outstanding player, but was never an option due to what we already have at the club. Yes, I would have wanted him.

No words really. Piroe has what we dont have at the club - goals.

Just my few thoughts and comments. Removing most of the fluff and shite he comes out with every week.

Love the “can’t just be outcome based” bit. Maybe not entirely, but it kind of is the f*cking point when all said and done. At least appearing vaguely concerned about the outcome would help.

In the context of the other comments, safe to say we’ll be aiming for high possession stats again tomorrow.
Genuinely considering watching the golf rather than attending - have a bad feeling about how bad tomorrow might be at St Mary’s

Every week we have to listen to RM say how good the training is and how intense. Well, in case you haven't noticed Russell, it's not translating onto the pitch on match day so something is not working.

Perhaps that’s the problem - come Saturday they are knackered. 😉

So more of the same mindless tactics with same outcome as the previous 4, only difference will be how many Leeds score

  • Loved the intensity this week, been really good

How about the f*cking matches, you plonker?

  • The situation is what it is. Annoying & Painful

It's much more than annoying, you plonker.

  • lots we need to work on and improved, and have narrowed down issues we need to fix

You mean just like after Sunderland? You plonker.

  • Hope all understand that we will behave in the same way and work relentlessly to improve

Behave in the same way? You mean continue to play like shit? You plonker.

  • Really conscious that if it works I will be praised, if not, I will be called other things

You're right, we're calling you other things.

  • We will never turn the other way or take massive diversions

In other words, continue to serve up the same pile of steaming shit.

  • Had good chats with the owners this week, and they are behind us and this direction

Sweet Jesus, this beyond depressing, since it is almost certainly true with that charlatan Ankersen in charge. The loser who almost certainly chose you, using Wilcox as cover.

  • We will continue on this path and have no doubt that results will turn around

Of course you will, because you are thick and couldn't manage a 6 year old's team.

  • you cannot just be outcome based

Yeah, who cares about results anyway? You plonker.

  • we have to win, we know that. there are 38 games left and we will find consistency

You are consistent, you plonker. Consistently shit.

  • When compared to the other relegated teams, we finished bottom, and Leicester did their work early in the summer

Spare us you pathetic excuses, you plonker.

  • Leicester have had less change on the pitch

Spare us you pathetic excuses, you plonker.

  • Leeds did their work early, whilst we are using league matches to get players match fit

Spare us you pathetic excuses, you plonker.

  • it is not an excuse, it is a fact

No they are pathetic excuses, you plonker.

  • Flynn has been one of those, and he is now ready after an outstanding week in training. Taylor will be better, and Mason will be better after a difficult start

Irrelevant when their manager's tactics are shit.

  • Now is the time to show it on the pitch

It was several games ago, and it's not going to happen now. You plonker.

  • Piroe is an outstanding player, but was never an option due to what we already have at the club. Yes, I would have wanted him.

So that's why the club bought Stewart?

  • He is one of the best strikers in the league, no doubt. He would have added to the group, but was never an option and we have fantastic players already here

Fantastic players? Even if that was true, they are made shit by your incompetent tactics.

  • Stewart will be brilliant for us

Not if you're still manager.

  • Whoever we are playing tomorrow is important due to obvious reasons. They play in a similar way to us

Yes, exactly he same, except they can defend and score goals.

  • they had a slow start and now into it, only 3 points ahead

6 points tomorrow probably. God knows how many by Christmas.

  • we have to give a performance that is what we are about, we should have had more points from the last 2 games

I missed the news that we got points deducted. That's the only way we should've had more points. You plonker.

  • time to bring it now, more intensity and aggression

Don't forget "front footed" as well. You plonker.
