For some reason I thought he was on loan at a championship side last season.

On the face of it a good signing, reinforcement at CB which I wanted and left sided as well. Hope he's signed to be a starter though and not back up to Jan and Stephens.

Being paid £35k a week by Everton not to play for them.  Concerning but welcome on board.  He's got plenty to prove I'd say.

Everton are absolutely desperate for cash wherever they can get it though. He wouldn't have been playing so from their point of view they've just saved £1.8 million and haven't lost anything.

Hopefully that’s not 1.8m to tip the balance with Che.

Good signing, very much a utility player which probably works in our favour for CB and RB.

Did you cut and paste that from a AMN thread from last season ?

Brandon Williams has gone to Ipswich on a season long loan. I'm.sure that'll go down well with Norwich fans.

I know it's irrelevant but think i'd rather have had him than Holgate.

Williams is terrible and seemingly a bit of a twat.

I'm not overly fussed with Holgate but it's only a loan and he seemingly did pretty well in the Championship before.

Holgates comments suggest that 1. He's a CB and 2.

Played DM some for Everton the past few years, so there is some versatility there, as well.

He's a right back like Lyanco's a right back: a centre back doing a limited job out of position that mostly involves kicking people.

No chance he's been signed to replace Walker-Peters, unless everyone has lost their minds.

We didn't try and sign an actual RB, Max Aarons, only to then settle for any old shitter who can fill in on occasion.

If we're left with Bednarek, Stephens, Holgate and Wood by the end of the window I'd be very happy. ABK and Lyanco almost certainly gone.

Still have a feeling that Bednarek could be off too

No way Bednarek is going to be a backup in the Championship so with this signing and the Wood rumours I’d say he’s definitely off.

If Wood signs, reckon you would be right

Sounds like a good character in his interview, seems like he'll bring personality and shouting to our defence

Came across very positive and intelligent.

He was reportedly on £70k a week at Everton so assume that Everton with all their financial challenges, must be paying a chunk of his wages to get him off their payroll.

Everton paying £35k is what I’ve read, no idea if true.

Similar being said on Everton fans pages, but who knows what the split is.
