£15m income or Adams then

have we made it to £150m yet?

remember everyone we definitely didn’t need to sell anyone

Yes, this is a bit of a concern. What are the owners real motives? Che might be worth £15m in the market but how much is he worth to us when we haven't yet got a suitable replacement?

Could Tall Paul just stand in the middle and occasionally nod in the crosses? Watching AA on Saturday, dare I say it, he's not our centre forward but coming in from behind he looked a real threat.

Think I read somewhere at £80k a week, he's now our highest paid player. That's a lot for little camoes. Don't mind one iota if he goes. He adds little to our team.

That top players wage article was utter bull.

They didn't even do basic research before posting it

You would have had to be earning £133,000 a week to be earning £80,000 a week after a 40% contracted wage cut

JWP was reportedly our highest salaries player at £100k a week, so there will be a grand total of zero players at Southampton currently on over £60k a week.

I doubt they pay normal tax they aren’t paid permanent employees they are contractors for a fixed term, there will be all sorts of tax dodges their accounts will pull, we had contractors in my last job earning big money (obviously not premier league footballers money before any of the dickheads on here get excited) , they were only paying about 18% tax

No-one mentioned tax. @Nolan mentioned the 40% relegation wage reduction and so, for Aribo to be on 80k a week now, he'd have had to have been on $133k a week last year. Which he wasn't (I doubt he was even on half that), hence the article was bollocks.

Missed a lot of phone spelling corrections on my original post so hopefully it reads clearer now, but the whiskey was enjoyable last night...

Apologies I misread the post. Yes I agree with what you’re saying here.

Top-level professional footballers have fiendishly complicated financial arrangements. Usually they are paid through a mixture of companies and often into offshore institutions. They are even paid a large part of their remuneration in the form of ‘image rights’.
