No better way to counteract our constantly overrun midfield from last weekend than by somehow making it less defensive.

Don’t disagree, but not sure we have any other options until we get players in and Smallbone is back.

Charles is certainly a prospect but at his age and with his limited experience do we think he's going to be more effective than Plymouth's midfielders? I'm not sure and he is our only real defensive cover in the middle. That is the area that worries me today. Hope it turns out different.

I get that he's young but he's one of the most expensive signings made in the Championship so fat this summer so hopefully he can show why.

I take it that you've been down to Ladbrokes and put all of your worldly goods on a Plymouth win?

Not my worldly goods as that would be a tad overdramatic, but yes I’m confident enough in saints letting us down that I’ve spread some bets around with the idea Plymouth will win today. The odds are favourable to do so as the bookies do not share my view either.  If I’m not right and lose some money then I’m probably celebrating a win.

Gone for Plymouth to win and both teams to score

That bench is pretty shocking. Needs to be much stronger to navigate a 50 game season

We won’t have a 50 game season.

Denmark kit and Back to Nichols 4-2-4, exciting times.

Yep! No Hurlock or Case in that midfield though. I'm predicting a 4-2 win.

Nah I agree, awful timing with Downes’ food poisoning.

Where is Alcatraz?

Off the coast from San Francisco.

Or possibly in Newcastle...

Martin said on Wednesday that Stu Armstrong wasn't fit enough for 90 yet.

Going to be an interesting lineup when we get to 70 minutes.

We're equally hilarious Del. Like a modern day Morecambe and Wise.

Puts a hell of a lot of responsibility on young Charles. I think Manning will probably step in there a lot in open to create a 3, and be the one to move into the middle when Stu tires with Perraud coming in at LB.

5 experienced players, a keeper, and 3 kids. Could be worse.

Lumley ahead of McCarthy on the bench or is the latter injured?

Nope, Lumley preferred. Hopefully the lump is off to warm a bench somewhere.

Let’s not play out from the back, just get it away from there in anyway possible, don’t care if it is row Z or up the field. Let’s play football up the other end.

Stu armstrong looks a yard short so far. Cost us two decent opportunities.

Also I would be getting the ball to Tella as often as possible.

Looks very like Sheffield Wednesday so far. Saints attempting to pass them to death, Plymouth drilled to harry and saints in possession. Physically saints won’t compete so let’s hope they get knackered.
