Don’t see the point of this signing.  We would have been better off signing the Sholing keeper in case of injury.

This bloke makes Baz look like Pat Jennings 😂.

Maybe that's the idea - make us grateful to have Baz in goal because the alternatives don't bear thinking about 🙂

One to make up the numbers after Lis left and Big Willy decided it was time to finish.

Maybe not the 'quality' we might want but nothing to get worked up about. How many times did Willy get action last season?

Welcome Joanna.

Jason Wilcox has now gone down in my estimation -

"Joe will be a good addition to what is already a strong stable of goalkeepers here," director of football Jason Wilcox told the Saints website.

Anyone seen this strong stable of ours?

I think that horse has bolted!!

Cheap, one year deal, costing us buttons. There might be another deal coming after McCarthy is moved on.

Lot of people getting worked up over the no3 GK.

Maybe because we've gone about it in the wrong way - we should be looking for a new number one so that McCarthy becomes our new number three. We are weakening rather than strengthening in a very key position and I believe we'll live to regret it.

Glad you are not in charge, no3 on 60k per week?

Whilst McCarthy still has one year left on his contract, having an extra body around is a good choice on a free transfer.

28 is still "youngish" for a keeper (aside from people like Bazunu) and he might be a welcome replacement for Willie C.

If we are using farming analogies a slurry pit would seem more appropriate, although our capacity for containing shit seems infinite in the keeper department.

There are better keepers available on free transfers though.

I think the main reason is strategic, so that Dean Thornton has an old pal to go to the bar and Burger King with whilst staying at the hotel. Also handy for reaching the high shelves in Thornton’s office at Staplewood.
