AlexLaw76 Posted 1 September, 2023 Posted 1 September, 2023 Luton are f-ing crap. I know they dont have the same resources as other teams, but they finished what, 3rd in the Championship? They were hardly parachuted into the Premi from League 2 ffs 1
stknowle Posted 1 September, 2023 Posted 1 September, 2023 (edited) Luton could install 5 plastic pitches on top of each other and still go down with a record low number of points. Edited 1 September, 2023 by stknowle Better wording
AlexLaw76 Posted 1 September, 2023 Posted 1 September, 2023 Watching Luton is like 'what could have been' if Jones was a moderate success at Saints. FML 2

adrian lord Posted 1 September, 2023 Posted 1 September, 2023 A much better game at Kenilworth Road, 1977. I was lucky enough to be there with my father, I was age 9. An excellent Saints performance, topped off by that final sumptuous chipped goal. 1

egg Posted 2 September, 2023 Posted 2 September, 2023 Everton's team today looks dreadful, and they could only find 7 subs, 2 of them being keepers.

niceandfriendly Posted 2 September, 2023 Posted 2 September, 2023 That VAR in favour of City 😂 Akanji offside and interfering with play as clear as you like, ignored. Imagine if it was the other way, not a chance Fulham get that decision. 2
InvictaSaint Posted 2 September, 2023 Posted 2 September, 2023 Leicester, Ipswich and Norwich currently all losing.
saintant Posted 2 September, 2023 Posted 2 September, 2023 Burnley taking a pasting at home to Spurs. Remember a woman fan after their first game of the season against City saying she was impressed and they'd be fine. Wonder if she's changed her mind.

AlexLaw76 Posted 2 September, 2023 Posted 2 September, 2023 The fairy dust has definitely come away from Newcastle. Losing again. They will get a fisting in the Champions League, and their supposed amazing home atmosphere wont save them 1

I dropped off around 4pm (working earlies) and just saw the other results. Yes we got spanked but other results really went our way today. We haven't lost much ground. Martin needs to sort this out before it does indeed cost us. 1
adrian lord Posted 2 September, 2023 Posted 2 September, 2023 1 hour ago, Green said: Wonder how many more losses Howe has to get before he gets the sack? I suspect not that many. He would be expected to really kick on with the Newcastle team this season, so even treading water would not be adequate, but they seem to be going backwards. He looked haunted after the final whistle.

ChrisPY Posted 3 September, 2023 Posted 3 September, 2023 7 minutes ago, iansums said: Is it just me or does anyone else dislike the new leading Sky commentator Peter Drury? Don’t mind his general commentary through the game but could do without the hyperbole (‘Declan Rice, Arsenal for life.’) when there’s a goal.
stknowle Posted 3 September, 2023 Posted 3 September, 2023 9 minutes ago, iansums said: Is it just me or does anyone else dislike the new leading Sky commentator Peter Drury? No it ain't just you. Reminds me of that brief period that ITV had the TV rights and MOTD wasn't on - he was their main man way back then and equally as irritating. That was a fucking entertaining game though I have to say.
