How do you press Angus Gunn into a mistake from a free-kick?

How come Leeds didn't give Norwich a few chances by giving up possession in their own half?

They didn't really give Norwich a sniff tonight which meant Norwich didn't get any confidence or momentum after a couple of Gunn howlers. Leeds dominated. Unfortunately, we'll give West Brom a few chances through our own faults tomorrow, but we've got to do the same as Leeds did tonight given we're the strong favourites also.

Did you miss Sargent's 1 on 1 with Meslier in the first half? Good save but Sargent really should have scored to make it 2-1

That's my point really, Norwich were that bad it made it easy for Leeds.

Again, agreed, but most championship keepers would've saved the first two goals, gave Leeds a massive boost.

I’m sure you can rally your DEF for tomorrow night.

And I’m getting two (not one, but two) foam hands down from the roof space   especially for the occasion

The DEF don’t need rallying. You so become Europes toughest firm by needing rallying calls. WBA know better than to act up in Southampton as the baggies will be going home in body bags.

Norwich respond to their monumental shitting of the bed by immediately sacking Wagner:

I thought it was weird last night when he smiled at the end when he shook Farke's hand, I suspect with hindsight that he knew the game was up.

They both probably also know Farke will go the same way if Leeds don’t go up.

Bayer Leverkusen complete the first ever invincible season in the Bundesliga.

If only we’d freed Tella to go to Burnley, I’m sure he’d have had a far better time…

Will likely need a crap load of aways to get a ticket for Oxford if we don't go up.

Any idea what the allocation is for away teams there ?

Derby got just under 1,500 allocation this season, according to a mate who follows the Rams.

Looks like the Rotherham keeper has joined Stoke????

Yeah done deal. It was never going to be a signing we made, wasn't expecting it tbh.

Oh well. They now have a keeper better than any of our 3 or 4

Strange decision, would have thought there’d be better options for him over the summer.

Got the footy on in the background, the Klopp love in is do bloody nauseating.

Man City 2-0 up already and cruising to their 6th title in 7 years.

Yawn.

Meh!

I was asked this morning if I was going to be watching any of the Big Day of football.

I blinked. Couldn't have cared less, and back out into the garden.

Title being fought out between state owned sportswashers, fighting 100+ rules breaches against Super League sign ups, Paul Davis employers and recently backed by a crooked oligarch. All under VAR and endless hyperbole.

No ta.

Would have been nice if WH could have put up some kind of resistance today to make things a bit more interesting..

The goal before half time at least makes it vaguely interesting for now.

Great goal it was too.

So Brighton end up 11th. Didnt we have some chumps on here saying they were achieving more than we did & could replace leaving players and managers better than we did.

Snap 😉

Remember the dins on here saying they had already done better than we had ever done?

That PL season has to be one of the worst, if not the worst ever quality wise. Absolute bilge.

You've got the three relegated sides not even hitting 30 points, one team finishing on 16 points, 4th place only requiring 68 points and Palace finishing top half. Everton pretty terrible most of the season, deducted 8 points and still finished 14 points clear of 18th.

A truly terrible season. The only three consistent teams competed in the top 3 positions, the rest were just a much of a muchness. Pretty inventible Man City would win it again, it's all very boring now.

Buying unknown Ecuadorians for £50k and sell on for £100million should happen every year if you have the right data analysts. We should have thought of it

They've peaked, they know it. It's only downhill from here. They seem to think that their manager had 'lost it' and is the reason they're crap, but they've just played the game of selling anyone who moves, boasting about their profits to the media and how well run they are...but totally taking their eye off of being competitive on the football field. I can see them going down in the next 1 or 2 seasons, it's the start of the inventible drop off for a club who did well...but are inevitably playing the same card as we did, one bad window whilst playing transfer charades and it's all over (and they had a terrible window last summer).

Well if we don’t go up having those 3 teams back down shouldn’t unduly trouble us next season

That ginger Argie left back looks pretty good. They do have v good squad generally but it all goes in cycles and they will drop off sooner or later.

Was it their choice or De Zerbis though? I assumed when I saw the news that he was heading somewhere else not that they were getting rid.

That is this a positive slant to take for sure! This 3 are a terrible, terrible bunch. Sheffield United are going to have to start again - awful, awful team. It's the sort of season teams struggle to recover from the next year.

Luton had their moment, I think they'll be in and around the playoffs but no more than that. The league will be much more open next year, no established PL teams coming down full of PL players.

Some of their fans seem to think he's been sacked as Bloom wants a 'bigger name' - but they're living in cloud cuckoo land. What seems to have happened (according to some media over there) is that he demanded some $$ to build a bigger team and add some real quality, the club said no.. ''but see what we have when we sell x and y in the summer'' and he decided that was that. It's very similar to the way it ended with Koeman, just no compo for them.

Hes conceded 89 goals, by far the most in the division and the save percentage everyone raves about is worse than Angus Gunn. Yes I know it’s Rotherham and he does pull off some good looking saves but there’s a lot gets past him. I’ll bet if you looked back at every goal he’s conceded this season you’ll find a healthy dozen that people would be furious about if Baz had conceded them, not least one that he conceded against us.

One of Rotherham’s better players but not one I’ll be losing sleep over not signing.

Brighton is the new Southampton.. the pattern is very clear.

they pushed and pushed to 6th, got European football.. but now..... they have faltered a bit, finishing mid table, made some bad purchases from sales of their top players, their manager is leaving for greener pastures, their supporters expectations are too high (which will create an environment of winter break panic buys to appease the angry fanbase), they will languish in the bottom half for 2 to 3 more years, go thru a couple of managers, and end up in the Championship in 2027.

sound familiar?

Book it.

I think 1-2 years is a bit of a push, but I think they’ll be struggling in next 5.

Issue is the gap between championship and prem is just getting bigger. Suspect we’ll see what’s happened this year more often, with the three promoted teams going back down.

If it wasn’t for the financial need, I’d be happy to stay where we are.

I do agree that the gap is just getting bigger by the year. Next season you'll have Leicester automatically on the back foot, it'll be a tough ask for them to stay up starting on -10. By Christmas I reckon their fans will have wished they'd avoided promotion. Ipswich, great story, but they're no where near the required level yet - they may spend a lot, who knows...but it could be another Luton style story.

Whoever goes up out of us and Leeds is best placed to make the biggest crack of it, in my opinion. I think you'll see the likes of Brentford dragged right into it next year, they've looked really poor for a while now.
