pingpong Posted 25 February, 2024 Posted 25 February, 2024 Think we've got a good chance against these "young Liverpool pups who are defying the odds" right now by even being on the same pitch as chelsea, who themselves will be devastated if they miss this easy chance to win a cup. Plucky plucky Liverpool... average age of 24 you know.
Lighthouse Posted 25 February, 2024 Posted 25 February, 2024 I’ve yet to watch a single game in the history of football where I was glad to see extra time.

Plucky plucky Liverpool... average age of 24 you know. Isn't Chelseas team a lower average age? Their starting line up had two players over 25 and none over 30 - Liverpool's had 6 over 25 and 2 over 30. 1

Chelsea current players on the pitch have an average age of 22.9, but that doesn't fit the narrative... 2 1

whelk Posted 25 February, 2024 Posted 25 February, 2024 If neither team scores I can see this going to penalties
Saint_clark Posted 25 February, 2024 Posted 25 February, 2024 Not sure about that celebration between Tsimikas and Van Dijk...
AlexLaw76 Posted 25 February, 2024 Posted 25 February, 2024 Chelsea should be embarrassed with themselves! 1

obelisk Posted 25 February, 2024 Posted 25 February, 2024 Just a quick reminder of the farcical over-the-top twat-fest that we're attempting to get back to. 3
AlexLaw76 Posted 25 February, 2024 Posted 25 February, 2024 Oh fuck off Drury....Just fuck off On the game, absolute embarrassment from Chelsea
SambaMaverick Posted 25 February, 2024 Posted 25 February, 2024 Chelsea are an embarrassment, how have they fallen so far in such a short time 1
Saint_clark Posted 25 February, 2024 Posted 25 February, 2024 I assume it was a different teenage Van Dijk that scored and not the £75million 32 year old? 6

Harry_SFC Posted 25 February, 2024 Posted 25 February, 2024 (edited) Liverpool deserved that. Hopefully they are still knackered/pissed for Wednesday night. Edited 25 February, 2024 by Harry_SFC
Eric The Red Posted 25 February, 2024 Posted 25 February, 2024 I get the two analysts for a Cup Final. BUT either have two 'neutrals' or if you must have one from each side. I'm no Chelsea lover but they've become the team that everyone likes to have an easy pop about and of course Sky's love-in with Liverpool is legendary. 1
Dark Munster Posted 25 February, 2024 Posted 25 February, 2024 Poch, the world's greatest manager at everything except winning trophies*, does it again! * Apart from a one horse race with a billion Euro squad in France

S-Clarke Posted 25 February, 2024 Posted 25 February, 2024 The standard of Chelsea's team, after spending £1bn on it, is absolutely horrific. They have overspent on every single one of their signings. Jackson was linked to us and Bournemouth, because we are his level - Chelsea need to be aiming better than players like him, but no they focused on him and spent £35m on him to top it off. Lavia had a good season with us but was still growing, he was not worth £60m - yet they felt they'd spunk that on him. The pointless uneducated splurge they have made in the transfer market has probably killed their top of the table competitiveness for a generation. FFP will strangle them for a long time now, whilst the others just get further away. 2
danjosaint Posted 25 February, 2024 Posted 25 February, 2024 After watching as I don't normally watch Chelsea can't believe how poor Enzo is
Lord Duckhunter Posted 25 February, 2024 Posted 25 February, 2024 Neville is a twat, but he was right about Chelsea bottling it. They had Liverpool on the ropes at the end of normal time, but were very passive in extra time. Klopp defo seemed to do a better job in the break before the extra 30. personally, I don’t get the hype over Cole Palmer or Gallagher and they both reinforced that opinion today. Gallagher missed a sitter & a couple of decent chances, and Palmer disappeared as the game wore on.

The more I see them play, the more I think both Jackson and Gakpo were two more poor finds from our scouting teams last season and we dodged a couple of bullets there. Would've been a few more million wasted. The two are struggling at Chelsea and Liverpool where chances are coming aplenty each game. Ramos also isn't pulling up many trees in France, but that's more from his stats pages, rather than watching him play for PSG. 1
Stripey McStripe Shirt Posted 26 February, 2024 Posted 26 February, 2024 Everton points deduction has been reduced to 6 points. Premier League clearly shat themselves that Everton might genuinely have been at risk of the drop.
Holmes_and_Watson Posted 26 February, 2024 Posted 26 February, 2024 But don't they have the same charges to face for the subsequent annual accounts? I was thinking that they didn't want to give them twenty, but will give them 12 in the end, across them both.

Holmes_and_Watson Posted 26 February, 2024 Posted 26 February, 2024 I caught Kieran Maguire on the radio regarding Everton. He said there's a chance that any penalty imposed would be considerably reduced, based on the reduction via appeal of this one, and also the offence being related to one they've already been punished for. He was indicating it could be reduced by up to 2/3 so 2 or 3 points.
