Just interested mate. I don’t get the thing about having a pop at people who turn up and get criticised for leaving early, if that’s what they want to do. Tuesday was a struggle, but we go again. No offence whatsoever intended. Love your content.

None taken. I get it if we’re a few goals down but I don’t understand why anyone would leave a game early when it’s tight or we’re winning. Much like I don’t get why people are so desperate for a pint or to stuff their fat faces with shit stadium food that they’ll go down stairs on 35 minutes and not come back until the second half is well under way

There is an incredibly plausible scenario that Russell Martin's football doesn't work in the league above either. (Ditto Maresca). It's not going to stop anyone enjoying promotion if they get it.

A year ago everyone was creaming themselves over Vincent Kompany.

Leeds will bin off Farke before Christmas if it isn't working in the Prem. And anyway Farke has only ever managed low budget Norwich- he might get more of a crack at Leeds.

Yep, fair enough!

I think if we we're all honest it's unlikely we'll get top two, Leeds have won 9 in a row , we are not going to match them or catch Leicester

I for one will be hoping for immediate relegation so we can get promoted again

Bit of luck, tenacity, drive and spirit there from Leeds won them that game.

Interestingly, I felt it came from their energy levels, which were very high.

That energy and tenacity has been lacking for us in the last few games (bar WBA and Hudds second half).

Still, all to play for.

I saw this posted yesterday by a neutral so no bias towards or against us, think its a fair reflection myself and will have shifted even more since last night's game FB_IMG_1708762526919.jpg.d1d2605673279c33cf1c9d5b095a2634.jpg

Wonder what it was when we'd just beaten Huddersfield.

Happened in the Huddersfield match. Game was in the balance, still a mass exodus round us with five to go. Remember the Sheffield Weds game was the same. Team has given a good performance. Respect that and stay to the end.

Wouldn’t disagree but I’m not giving up hope when we’re likely to be only 2 points behind 2nd at the end of today!

Not to forget Leicester absolutely battered and outclassed them but missed multiple good chances and were denied a perfectly good goal which would have put them two up. Yeah, other than that Leeds were a credit.

As I said, luck for Leeds heavily at play.

If I was a Leicester fan, I'd be a bit disappointed, but at the same time confident the side will bounce back. They played like they have all season. Strong at the back, lots of men behind the ball, quality players in midfield that are very confident to accept the ball while under pressure, and an extremely pacey side that is good on the break. They will be a nightmare for us.

If I was a Leeds fan, I'd feel similar to how I do as a Saints fan at the moment. Really happy at wining all these games, but just wondering how good a side we really are as defensively we were carved to bits in the last game by a confident side that is good on the break. Leeds away will obviously be tough, but if we are a little less open at the back than we have been, I think we can match them and have a goal in us. No way we play as badly as we did last season at Elland Road.

Just the nine wins in a row with two goals conceded since New Years Day, though.

I'm not sure they are fluking this.

Last night a great deal of luck was mixed in to allow the 3-1 result.

I agree though, they've been relentlessly incisive and ruthless over that run of games. Not a fluke.

Leeds next games are:

Huddersfield (a)

Stoke (h)

Sheff Wed (a)

Millwall (h)

Their turn to be the Graeme Hick of the Championship (flat track bullies for the young or initiated) on the back of nine straight wins.

The result everyone wanted 👀

Disappointing that such incisive and intellectual wit was only worthy of one bite (ok, two if you count this one... ;) )

Their two away games are derbies so I don't see them as foregone conclusions. Ultimately though, we can't afford any more defeats if we want to leave it to the last game of the season which probably isn't realistic.

draws away to Ipswich and leicester are very good results. But, given the silly draws we had during the 25 game run, we are likely going to have to win at either/both of those to have a chance at top 2.

I'd fancy us to get a result at Ipswich. Leicester is another matter.

Was nice while it lasted, Leeds have been incredible to be fair. Getting wins when we could only manage draws.

Fingers crossed we’ve got enough about us to make a date at Wembley.

We are 5 points behind them without a game in hand and a bit less than a quarter of the season left, er, FFS. You’re talking like it’s just been confirmed that’s definitely it and we’re condemned to the playoff. LOL/Winky Smiler emoticon/emoji.

I still won't be writing them off bpsaint my old pal but without a doubt today makes it far far more likely we will only be making the playoffs and not top 2.

The autos are by no means gone but it's looking a very tall order. Our 3 defeats in 4 game out of the blue, after an incredible run of good form and against 3 teams you'd say were bread and butter victories. There's no reason that can't happen to Leeds or Ipswich, although it's very unlikely to happen to both.

We've just got to put February behind us, like we did September, and do what we can in the remaining games. Hit form at the right time and you never know.

Liverpool fans giving their usual respect to the National Anthem, perhaps our fans should sing it on Wednesday night. What a loathsome bunch they are, I hope Chelsea win.

I don’t like Chelsea but yes booing the National anthem made it clear who I want to win

And that's why I hate VAR. No yellow for a challenge that we've seen Saints players red carded for multiple times in the past.

He's injured the player and they're saying oh Caicedo wasn't looking and didn't mean it. Wtf?!?!

VAR FFS. At least we don't have that to worry about in the Championship. That's one aspect of the EPL that I could happily ditch.

Neil Warnock getting his first taste of VAR up in Scotland compared the technology  of the system to the Horizon post office scandal 🙄
