Jesus wept the guy is so over rated it’s untrue. He isn’t even the best right back in the premier league at the moment

What do the media have on this guy? It's mental. He's one of the worst right backs in the league in my opinion, always at fault for goals. Would be shitting myself if we had him in our team and we were playing balls across the back 4.

He may be able to pass the ball, cross, score a free kick etc - but primarily his job is to defend and he's absolutely awful at it. The fact they're trying to shoe-horn in into midfield and number 10 says it all for me, coaches know he's not good enough defensively but can't bring themselves to say it.

The young kid, Connor Bradley, has looked more assured defensively and does still provide an attacking threat. 'Trent' will go down in most football fans minds as one of the most overrated English players ever.

Anything on social media with ‘Bible’ in the name isn’t worth looking at IMO. Sensational clickbait headlines, nonsense rumours passed off as facts, crap jokes rehashed and reposted 50 times.

Is he a better defender than Manning?

Judging by the empty seats, looks like a lot have

Channel I'm watching showed an aerial shot of the ground and thousands were streaming out during HT.

Arsenal have got more gears here as well I reckon, hope they go for the record instead of easing off

They need to improve their GD to overtake City, so they have every incentive to keep going for more.

Ings must be wondering what he has to do to get a game. So out of favour and it's not like they're blessed with strikers.

Moyes won't last much longer there I think. A club with huge resources that can never achieve anything.

Possibly gone at the end of the season but they are still 8th with a European trophy behind them. If they want to get to the next level they need a change though. Like Emery at Villa. Only West Ham have crapper, older players.

There you go, as predicted Arsenal playing walking football with no interest in scoring more goals.

No doubt if they were playing us they’d be going for it.

Radio commentary on the Beeb a bit rubbish. Lead commentator had absolutely nothing to offer on the game. Reduced to endlessly saying the score, making woooo noises about how many it could be, and coyly (because it's the Beeb) wondering about Moyes future. No real idea of what the failings were, whether individual or tactical. No analysis whatsoever from either commentator.

Edit: Oh joy. The dazzling perception of Clinton Morrison now.

JWP must be thinking "oh shit, could this be my third 0-9?'.

He’s been involved in some proper dickings over the years. Also now has two 6-0 home defeats on his resume.

Needs to work on his defensive duties.

Not sure why. Its a European competition. I'd love us to win it.

It's a a third rate competition for teams that failed to win anything in their domestic seasons. European competitions in general are becoming a joke - there could be 5 teams from some leagues in the Champions League, that means 4 that aren't champions, and when some of them are knocked out of the CL they get implanted into the Europa League knockout stages.

Am sure the West ham fans share that point of view as well.

I don't care how they feel, I am entitled to my opinion.

Don't really know why West Ham seem to just try and shoehorn Soucek, JWP, Alvarez, Phillips all into the side. They had Ben Johnson playing LM today, it was such a strange lineup. They have looked dreaedful whenever I've seen them this season, how are they 8th? It's got to be one of the worst premier leagues for quality for years.

Not disagreeing with your right to have that opinion. Am sure, however you would view it a lot differently if we manage to ever to get to a European final, be it even the equal to the JPT in standing.

Jump into a DeLorean and join Saints on loan in last month's transfer window...?

Phone-in fans grateful for Moyes' work. Some think it's time for a change though. Hard to imagine a club of that level dumping an eighth finishing manager just because he may have had to alter the style of play, which could look better. 🙂

Think a few teams, includuing West Ham will be looking at Steve Cooper and Graham Potter come the summer.

Weirdly (and I was Pro-resigning Ings short term as he could have been our Billy Sharp for 2024) in just a couple of weeks with what we have I can already see that would have been a mistake as we would most likely never have found out what Mara could do. Whether Mara's exploits are temporary or not, between him, Che and AA and a whole load of quality wide attacking options now, we certainly don't seem to need another striker. Bringing Edozie, Brooks and Sulemana off the bench yesterday along with Mara, and their impact, finally turned my head that maybe we do have the firepower that matches Leeds (who up until yesterday I believed had the best attack in the League). Add Dibling and SAA to that and it will not be our attack that let's us down this season.

Palace did that with Viera and despite a reasonable first season, it didn't really get them anywhere and they went back to what they knew in Hodgson.

Watching the AFCON final hoping to see Joe at some point. I can't believe Max Gradel is 36! Made me feel old, I remember signing him on FM07 as a teenager. Lots of familiar names, not a great deal of quality so far. I didn't realise Tella missed out for Nigeria. All the better for Leverkusen I guess.

Can see Potter going to West Ham. About his level really, and the perfect club to achieve mild success with following his ill fated Chelsea tenure.
