Leicester and Ipswich can quite easily keep doing what they are doing? No, we will be below Leeds if they pick up points tonight, so no one worth lookingf over our shoulders at. 1

So to be clear, it is better to be third or fourth rather than actually in the top two positions, because it's worse to be looking over your shoulder rather than just, you know, being ahead. 1
Cumbria Saint Posted 2 February, 2024 Posted 2 February, 2024 Leeds look very good. I think they are the team to be watching.

Saint Matty 76 Posted 2 February, 2024 Posted 2 February, 2024 Bristol City really really bad. One good chance and that's been it. Top 4 going to need serious off days to be dropping points to teams like these.
Winnersaint Posted 2 February, 2024 Posted 2 February, 2024 Said it all season, play offs for us. No day out at Wembley. West Brom beat Hull with Leeds and Leicester autos. Not based on anything other than Saints doing Saintly stuff. Hope I’m shit at predictions. 1 1

I've never thought we would go up automatically and I just don't see us winning the play offs. On the up side, at least we win more games in this league. 1
LGTL Posted 3 February, 2024 Posted 3 February, 2024 Come off it you two. It’s automatic or a Wembley win. We’re probably the best team in the league. 1
Tamesaint Posted 3 February, 2024 Posted 3 February, 2024 Don't worry about Leeds. We will win our games in hand snd go back above them. Ipswich are on their way down and we will be firmly established in 2nd place before the end of the season. 2

Leeds are certainly hitting form and picking up points though, we're going to have to keep our running going until the end of the season with very little room for dropping points. Being 4th this morning should help focus the players on that. Long way to go. 1
sfc4prem Posted 3 February, 2024 Posted 3 February, 2024 Still 18 games for us to go. We're in great form. No complacency, only fire and hunger. We'll fucking win today, of course we will. 2
Patches O Houlihan Posted 3 February, 2024 Posted 3 February, 2024 (edited) Big Joe came on for the last 11 mins of Nigeria's quarter final AFCON win over Angola. Tall Paul played the last 3 minutes; just as he played the last 2 mins of the last 16 game against Cameroon. He's becoming a specialist at being a time wasting substitute 😉 In fairness if its the last minutes of injury time and you give away a corner and Paul strides on, an opportunity to score a breakaway goal might not be your first thought as a defender! That not having a lot of room is due to that awful run of games where we got mullerd - win one or more of those and the wiggle room would be there. Still we have 2 games in hand over Leeds so should be enough wiggle room over them. Lots of twists and turns to come so more a question of can we hold our nerve.
Saint Matty 76 Posted 3 February, 2024 Posted 3 February, 2024 Seriously glad that Holgate is someone else's problem now. 2
beatlesaint Posted 3 February, 2024 Posted 3 February, 2024 He likes a hammering on debut doesn’t he?

Dark Munster Posted 3 February, 2024 Posted 3 February, 2024 Sheff Utd finished second on 91 points last season. Shows you how much stronger the Championship is this year. They'd probably be struggling to make the playoffs if they were in our league this season. 1
DT Posted 3 February, 2024 Posted 3 February, 2024 Holgate having an immediate impact. God I almost feel sorry for Sheff Utd. Shades of us v Leicester that night. Fans started going home after 22 mins

FarehamSaintJames Posted 3 February, 2024 Posted 3 February, 2024 How many players have two 5-0 debut defeats in the same season. Mason Holgate must have set a record! Only a 5-0 win for Leicester today. I’d be fuming if I was one of their fans. 😁 1
The Cat Posted 4 February, 2024 Posted 4 February, 2024 Shows how crap Chelsea are these days that a 4-2 pummeling at home to Wolves isn't even a surprise.

AlexLaw76 Posted 4 February, 2024 Posted 4 February, 2024 Watching the Arsenal v Liverpool. The commentator is so fucking awful - "Gabriel and Nunez, two warriors at it, face to face, bicep to bicep" 🙄 1

AlexLaw76 Posted 4 February, 2024 Posted 4 February, 2024 The greatest Keeper ever(tm) and the greatest ever Defender(tm), have had a shocker in the 2nd half. 1 1

hypochondriac Posted 4 February, 2024 Posted 4 February, 2024 Woukd much prefer arsenal to win the title over pool or city so that's a good result as far as I'm concerned.
redkeith Posted 4 February, 2024 Posted 4 February, 2024 The candle shop outside Anfield will be doing a good trade tonight ! 2

Now at Chelsea having to beat a team of overpaid individuals into shape with not much say over incoming players . He’s destined to”fail” , already saying his job is on the line etc .
