That has to be a foul on the keeper. Not for it’s intensity but because there is a separate category for ‘preventing the keeper from releasing the ball’.

He didn't prevent the keeper from releasing the ball, he helped the keeper release the ball.

Some big games in the championship today

saints v Cardiff

wba v Leicester

Leeds v Middlesbrough

The top 6 could be a lot tighter tonight.

Well, we surely won't be this bad today. Absolutely sensational.

Haha. That is truly brilliant. In many ways it reminded me of the Wesley Hoedt School of Defending.

Glad I wasn't watching Liverpool v Fulham because the commentators were no doubt circle jerking over Alexander Arnold for scoring a late winner.

When he equalised last week one of them said something like "he's not just the right back, he's THE right back"

What a twat.

It was two birds on the Optus feed so maybe circle bean flicking?

Why in the name of Jesus would you blow up then!?

Haha, was a funny end to the game.

Only watched the second half but it was very entertaining.

Nice to see Eastleigh go further in the cup than Pompey….

Yep well done Eastleigh, got a good chance getting through next round as well.

Poor old Ruben Selles, got Saints knocked out last year v Grimsby and then his league one Reading side go out to non-league opposition, might not be the competition for him

Swansea have sacked their manager and Nathan Jones is the frontrunner apparently!

Could make our Boxing Day against them very interesting indeed.

Utterly predictable. Possibly very funny too. My Welsh mate is not sure a bloke from Merthyr is a natural Jack.

Wonder if those criticising the club for picking Martin over Mowbray after they beat us 5-0 would take him now?

I wonder how Martin would get on with Sunderland's squad.

We will probably find out comparatively next season

I'm sure I read Jones was also the favourite for the Rotherham job? Hopefully when he takes a new role we can stop paying him.

Quite a few championship clubs have changed manager now this season.

Gabby Yorath on the build up to Luton v Arsenal, on a dog being in the stands; "Any club that lets you bring your pet in....". It's not a pet, it'a a guide dog.

Time added on at Luton until Arsenal can score the winner.

Luton can only blame themselves...well Kabore anyway. He took absolutely ages strolling over to a throw in with 60 seconds left and the referee clearly indicated he'd be adding time on.

Pope out for 4 months at Newcastle with dislocated shoulder. Do you think they'd be interested in a Goalkeeper with bags of Premiership experience, capped by England yet  currently warming a bench in Southampton. Step forward Alex McCarthy. For £40m he's theirs!

Unai Emery, what a manager. I was envious when Vila signed him at the time when they and we were both languishing at the bottom part of the PL, and even more so now.

Villa were superb last night.

Unai Emery joined Villa on 22nd October 2022. Two and a half weeks later (10th November) we employed the utter bonkers Welsh Wizard.

Well done Rasmus!.....Is there a chapter in your book on "ambition"?

Do you think Emery would have come to us then?

And you call someone else bonkers.

He was going to, but then he read the chapter about ambition in Rasmus's book and weirdly changed his mind...

Probably not. But I bet if he was available that legend in his own mind Ankersen would still have chosen Mr Jones.
