Early days yet still, but Leeds and Leicester seem to be throwing down markers.

They don't have the burden of revolutionising football that SR and Martin shoulder.

Besides, Markers are for old school football tactics, and have been replaced by the Panicked Overcommitted Runbacks.

See it didn't take long for Tall Paul to get off the mark for his new club. Can't make up my mind whether he is truly crap or we just didn't give him a chance and play to his obvious advantage. At Stamford Bridge earlier this year, he actually looked ok but his touch is generally awful and he can't last 90 minutes.

If more of our players moved there they'd score as well, something is broken at St Mary's and fuck knows what it is at this stage.

Certainly seems like it

Selles majorly shuffled his pack tonight changing the whole team from the one that beat Bolton on the weekend, Exeter dabbled too but not as much - Reading are a bit of a basket case off the pitch at the moment. Living 14 miles from Reading we get to hear a bit about them, Selles seems to have cobbled together a team with stretched resources and got them ticking, which adds a little more to your comment about something being amiss within Saints.

JWP off to a great start at WHU.

Romeu playing in the Champions League for Barca.

Tino on the bench at the San Siro last night

And now Elyounoussi is leading Copenhagen to wins in the Champions League.

All the while we're languishing near the bottom half of the Championship

Depressing doesnt even come close

Work colleague wanted to show me their goals from last night. They think RS's high press is excellent and is working really well. Maybe we should be taking tennis balls to our matches!!

That Utd keeper is good with his feet though.

That’s now 8 goals he’s conceded from 11 shots on target. Poor fella only needs a good defence in front of him and he’d be right as rain.

Make that 9 from 12.

Meanwhile, Romeu was playing in the Champions League in the Camp Nou tonight.

So pleased for him.

I very much doubt it being as it’s closed for a massive refurb. Barca are playing at the old Olympic stadium this season.

Leicester looked very good tonight, they week be there or there abouts come the end of the season.  They are good at the back, good on the break and can score goals.  Basically they can do all the things we can't, looked good when they played out from the back and controlled the game once in front.

Jose Fonte putting in a full 90 minutes in the Champions League for Braga too, when he was so keen to come back to us, despite the forum experts saying he’s passed it, and instead we have to watch Shea Charles play out of position when there’s 2 CB’s on the bench, and we so badly need a leader on the pitch.

Another assist from a corner for Ward-Prowse. Our shrinking violets really were just shit at attacking corners.

Indeed. Stu Armstrong put in some cracking corners on Tuesday evening. Our players were nowhere near them. We must be one of the worst teams in the country for attacking and defending corners.

Wouldn’t be missed according to many on here. A slow, ineffectual player who was only good at a few free kicks, terrible captain and couldn’t take corners. Glad we’ve now got the likes of Smallbone and Downes who are miles better.

Ha! He was always going when we got relegated, regardless of what people thought of him. That said, he's had a cracking start to his time there. Fair play to him, lovely lad.

And another.  Might not have been his shit corners after all!

Watching Begovic in goal for QPR. Bazunu has been....... OK (?) in the last few games, certainly not the key reason for our woes, but what I would give for that sheer competence.

The Plymouth manager is destined for far bigger things.

Weren't we after Schumacher as well as Martin in the summer? Made the right choice there.

Someone should get Martin, his coaches, Charles and Downes to watch the video of the North Londom derby and just watch Bissouma's positioning. First class and exactly what we don't do well.

Watching the Sheffield united v Newcastle match, Sheffield defending is as bad as ours. Newcastle 3 up in 35 mins and could have had at least 3 more.

The 9-0 could be under threat here.

Such a bad season to get relegated last year. The three promoted sides this season are utter shite.

But as we are going to shit out on promotion this season we will be kings in the following season with Leeds and Leicester gone and Luton and Sheffield Utd back

The 3 promoted clubs have a total of 3 points between them out of a possible 48 🙂

We picked the wrong PL season to be ultra-shite... If we'd have chosen this season instead we may well have got away with it...

Just as well we don’t go up, can you imagine how many the top sides would put past us. We’d beat the 9-0 about 10 times in the season
