This. The sound of his voice reminds me of when ITV briefly had the Saturday night highlights package and there wasn't any MOTD.

I used to think he was ok but raising his voice as he names a player shooting is fucking annoying

At a very different level, but Chelsea remind me somewhat of us last season. No leaders, no striker, spent a fortune on the wrong players and sloppy defensive errors. MoPo has a job on his hands. If Sterling retains this form it’ll help but they’re not challenging for the champions league this season playing like this.

West Ham meanwhile remain dull and ugly. Early days but mid-table again I’d imagine

Cracking debut for JWP.

Chelsea are such a disjointed team/squad. Todd Boehly is a huge problem for the club. Think it’ll carry on for a while. 😁

Chelsea just don’t look like a team. Loads of expensive additions, massive overspending in what they’ve got, yet it just all looks so disjointed. They’ll get better, they must do, but that was such a limp performance.

TBH the whole Prem thing is becoming a repugnant freak show. £110M for Moises Caceido FFS.

It is quite amusing to see Chelsea stumble after spending so much money yet again, even more so against a hardworking team like West Ham, and down to 10 men. As Merson said last season on SS, when we won up at Stamford Bridge “they look to be a team of very expensively assembled individuals” seems Poch has a lot of work on his hands breaking that scenario this season.

The Caceido price tag will very likely put devils in his head.

Chelsea basically encapsulate everything I hate about modern football

Can’t disagree with the first one but you must have a whole lot of hate going on for so many clubs based on those prerequisites.

I can’t get to St Mary’s as much as I would like. My 17 year old lad plays Toolstation football at 3 on a Saturday.

I have to be honest and say I’m really enjoying my football again without the bullshit money and histrionics that surround so called top level football.

My Chelsea supporting mate still insists they’re building a project, even in Feb when they were on a downward spiral after yet more ridiculous spending. 😂

Denial at its finest.

That was never a second yellow, ref conned totally. Expect an appeal to be successful post hoc but if it affects the result no one will feel any consolation.

Conned by whom?

We only see a small part of it on TV. In any game every player has a history with the referee.

Braga v Panathinaikos is on TNT Sports 2: The 39-year-old Jose Fonte's 14th Champions League game. He's had a remarkable late career, including 50 caps for Portugal, all in his 30s.

But definitely wouldn't have been able to do a job for us in the Championship... 😂

Still no Lavia in the Chelsea team - was he injured when he went there?

Maybe he’s “injured” like Salisu was for us.

Maybe he wants out… 👀😅

Eastleigh lost last night at Southend then and promptly sacked their manager.   I guess that comes under ....other games...🤔

If ever a promotion totally halted a clubs progress, it's this one.

This makes no sense? Getting the ultimate goal of the big bucks EPL is the deffinition of club progress! What Luton does with the EPL monies will decide future success. Will they spend big to stay in the PL, will they pocket most of the monies and if relegated use that and parachutes to continue grow the club into stable club that can compete for pl regular.
