Master Bates Posted 27 January, 2009 Posted 27 January, 2009 I smell a rat Because it's a cheese roll?
saintjay77 Posted 27 January, 2009 Posted 27 January, 2009 (edited) well that doesnt fit in with the Extreme Anti's so it cant be true and must be just another scripted PR spin type stunt. Lowe Out! Edited 27 January, 2009 by saintjay77
Doctoroncall Posted 27 January, 2009 Posted 27 January, 2009 Because it's a cheese roll? Not all rats are called Remy.
Fowllyd Posted 27 January, 2009 Posted 27 January, 2009 As somebody said on another thread, how does this chap who nobody seems to have even heard of have such fabulous contacts in English football? Why's he been at Lowe's side at so many matches? What the hell's he doing at Staplewood? Just how much has he been paid, for what services, and is he still receiving money from the club? The club's statement tells us very little indeed. The Dutch article quoted on here suggests that he has a level of involvement and influence way beyond that which a casual 'advisor' might be expected to have. Now I don't know where the truth lies, but it seems to me that you'd have to be exceptionally trusting to be satisfied with the comments from the club, not least as they've only mentioned him now his name's been brought into the open.
Saint_clark Posted 27 January, 2009 Posted 27 January, 2009 He's got a 50% success rate with those players IMO. However, it kind of dispels the whole "Jan new he was the English Arjen Robben" and "Jan raids his old stomping ground" stories which the club have put out regarding Holmes and Saejis respectively.
trousers Posted 27 January, 2009 Posted 27 January, 2009 http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/news/4077382.Saints_explain_van_der_Waals__role/ At long last an explanation He appears to be an agent not employed by the club but would no doubt earn fees An "explanation" of sorts Why wait this long to explain the role of someone who seems very pivotal in our player recruitment? And why nothing on the OS if there is nowt to hide? I don't know about other people but I'd quite like to know which people are at the fore front of player recruitment at the time they are engaged rather than 9 months after the event. Call me old fashioned.....
trousers Posted 27 January, 2009 Posted 27 January, 2009 One good thing though....we now have the illusive shot of him at Farnborough....which means we can criticise Rupert's choice of jacket colour all over again! "Small things....."
Thedelldays Posted 27 January, 2009 Posted 27 January, 2009 ffs...did people want details and insde leg size of scouts when we were in the prem did people know terry coopers shoe size..after all I was TOLD the other day HE signed killer and niemi.. jesus christ
ladysaint Posted 27 January, 2009 Posted 27 January, 2009 As a fan/supporter/customer/shareholder I would like to know the make up of the backroom staff at the moment, as you say if we hadnt uncovered the illusive Kim from an article in a Dutch Football Magazine the club would never have told us about him. Does he not need to be registered as it seems he is acting as a sort of scout/agent.

Thedelldays Posted 27 January, 2009 Posted 27 January, 2009 Did Terry Cooper sit in the front row of the director's box every game and have his name with held from publication on the OS? He was a paid employee of the club. Slightly different situation to this one.

trousers Posted 27 January, 2009 Posted 27 January, 2009 Your last paragraph doesn't make sense. Are you saying the club should provide detailed role descriptions for everyone they have dealings with, just so fans know what is going on No, not everyone. That would be daft. Obviously... Just the important roles will suffice. A quick 3 paragraph OS article about someone responsible for bringing something as inconsequential as players into the club would be a start. Or perhaps the OS should stick to writing reports denying we're buying an oil rig and such like.
SaintRobbie Posted 27 January, 2009 Posted 27 January, 2009 So he is a stooge then. Won't be here for much longer methinks.
Channon's Sideburns Posted 27 January, 2009 Posted 27 January, 2009 Well guys, like it or not (some of you ) it shows that this forum has POWER. Would this have come out if we hadn't pushed for it? No...

JohnnyFartPants Posted 27 January, 2009 Posted 27 January, 2009 well...we know who this guy is now.. surely that is that.. Not so my Navy friend. Until Eamonn Andrews pops back from the grave and introduces me to all this blokes family and tells me exactly what has been happening since his birth, I for one will not rest. Lowe out.
Thedelldays Posted 27 January, 2009 Posted 27 January, 2009 I want to know who the fit bird is who holds a clip board during the half time entertainment..I demand to know..
GeckoSaint Posted 27 January, 2009 Posted 27 January, 2009 Reading that article he sounds like an agent/scout similar to Kia Joorabchian at West Ham I have no problem with him being on the payroll at SMS if he does a decent job, but I don't understand the secrecy of his appointment? If the club doesn't tell us what's going on, fans will write there own headlines.

Fowllyd Posted 27 January, 2009 Posted 27 January, 2009 To be fair, I'd struggle to tell you the name of three agents (beyond those that that have been in the press for taking bungs). Your last paragraph doesn't make sense. Are you saying the club should provide detailed role descriptions for everyone they have dealings with, just so fans know what is going on. Beryl Symmons - Beryl is in charge of cleaning the toilets. She has over 10years experience in sanitaryware cleansing. etc. etc. So, is he an agent then? He's not registered as one. According to the club he's an advisor - whatever that means. He's been seen at the training ground, at matches sitting next to Lowe, he's clearly been involved in bringing various players to the club - and probably Poortvliet and Wotte too. He appears to have a high degree of influence around the place. The problem here is that it's easy to hide behind the "he's not employed by the club, he's just an advisor" story. No need to explain his role or influence, or give details of how much he's been paid and for what. Are you telling me that you simply aren't bothered by all that? Now, I don't care who cleans the windows at St Mary's, but I certainly do care about the inadequately-explained role of van der Waals. Nice little straw man you built there, though.
alpine_saint Posted 27 January, 2009 Posted 27 January, 2009 http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/news/4077382.Saints_explain_van_der_Waals__role/ At long last an explanation He appears to be an agent not employed by the club but would no doubt earn fees In my opinion he's a Dutch equivalent of SCW, but lower-profile to attract less attention.. Lowe hasnt changed his strategic outlook one iota since 2005, despite previous failure. It was of course, always everybody else's fault.

Well if Kim talk as much sense as SCW then I think it is a good idea employing him. A very sharp cookie is SCW he takes no crap from anyone
eelpie Posted 27 January, 2009 Posted 27 January, 2009 Yet another Dutchman taking money out of SFC (he wouldn't be 'advising' for nothing would he?) which could have been spent on a proper manager - like Pearson. What a load of rubbish we have been spun.
ottery st mary Posted 27 January, 2009 Posted 27 January, 2009 Well if Kim talk as much sense as SCW then I think it is a good idea employing him. A very sharp cookie is SCW he takes no crap from anyone £250,000 a year and I might even start talking sense..Will you as well John?

trousers Posted 27 January, 2009 Posted 27 January, 2009 Well if Kim talk as much sense as SCW then I think it is a good idea employing him. A very sharp cookie is SCW he takes no crap from anyone Indeed. The comparison with SCW is a valid one. Which makes it even stranger that the club chose not to publicise it. Would appear illogical on the surface.
John B Posted 27 January, 2009 Author Posted 27 January, 2009 £250,000 a year and I might even start talking sense..Will you as well John? I would have thought isf SCW was getting what you said he was getting he was better value than Euell I am not saying what he is worth only he is a sharp cookie. But Kim is only an agent of sorts By the way how much is Harry worth?

ottery st mary Posted 27 January, 2009 Posted 27 January, 2009 Maybe Kim also makes the tea and cleans the toilets to earn his big wedge, since Beryl and Ethel got the big heavo at St Marys. Having put feelers out in the City of London, The FA, Fifa and uefa and any other index, it would appear everyone has heard of Agents, Beryl and Ethel (so callously sacked by Saints) BUT not one response regarding Agent Kim.....Although The remaining Iron Curtain Counties/states have not yet responded...So there could still a takeover on Friday.
Patrick Bateman Posted 27 January, 2009 Posted 27 January, 2009 http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/news/4077382.Saints_explain_van_der_Waals__role/ At long last an explanation He appears to be an agent not employed by the club but would no doubt earn fees Fair play to the Echo and to Wotte for finally stepping up the plate to answer the questions being asked. But why has it taken so long? Maybe members of this forum are just more nosey than certain people in the club give them credit for!

No doubt at GREAT cost to this club when we were told we wos broke . Kimmey is unheard of in the whole world and now you and your Matey Rupey suddenly have been relying on this Special Agent..No wonder we have wot we have...Come on Johnney....And SCW..don't even bother..Olympic imput my arse. Harry Worth was worthy of big wonga..In my eyes a great comedian..come to think of it so is Arry Boy.

JohnnyFartPants Posted 27 January, 2009 Posted 27 January, 2009 Welldone for turning another thread into drivel you stupid adolescent. Did you mean "well done" or is that a new word? I thought you came on here and had a go at other posters, thus making it fair game to have a go at you, or doesn't it work that way?
