The Leicester result skews a far smaller sample. And look at the outcomes in the play offs themselves plus we only conceded one at Elland the game before.

To think that even other struggling Saints sides have had the likes of Flowers and Niemi in goal. Keeper recruitment has been crap for about 10 years now. 1

Correct, we have our Wembley memory thanks to Baz, a great day. Without Baz we wouldn’t have had that …we’d have been up automatically already…. Edited 12 hours ago by Lord Duckhunter 1 1

S-Clarke Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago If he becomes our first choice again next season, this will sadly confirm to me that as a club we have absolutely no idea what we are doing. He has been a pet project since day 1, just because he can play with the football. There are other fundamental attributes to goalkeepers Whenever I've watched him I've always seen an outfield player in goal, he has all the attributes of an outfield player but absolutely none of the attributes required to be a competent goalkeeper. His loan to Standard was an opportunity, but he has been doing exactly the same over there. Letting in pretty much any shot on target. If he's number 1 then Spors and whoever the new manager is are equally as clueless as all who went before. This position is a key decision that will show where we're heading. 3
Saint86 Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago I haven't given up home that we keep ramsdale. As mad as it sounds, I think financially we aren't too badly off re relegation. Profit last season, likely a profit this season. And a rebalanced squad with almost certain relegation wage clauses in them. Surely the only way we sell ramsdale is if it's considered to be worth it by the club? Which means we get a good slab of profit, and we have a goalkeeper considered both good enough for the champ and who can step up to the prem. 1

Keeping him would be a start to having a team that can stay up. Just need to look at 8 or 9 of the others for next time. 6 minutes ago, Gingeletiss said: Or, he has a relegation clause in his contract. Bah! I didn't get time to enjoy Saint86's post at all. 🙂 1
