I think everybody assumed that he fell out with Martin after the Leicester game, but maybe there is more to it ? I'd guess the key issue is not being good enough, which is why he is apparently in discussions with Hull. 1

If he's still here in Feb it probably tells you how other coaches see him! We've pretty much said to anyone he's available, I read that we were willing to cover 100% wages as well just to ensure he got a club. No, they suggest that there’s very little tabloid or agent interest in a reserve goalkeeper going on loan for six months, so there’s probably very little to be gained in making up bullsh*t click bait. He’s only been back in contention for reserve games for a week or two and it’s barely been four days since Juric said we’d loan him out. 1
Lord Duckhunter Posted Tuesday at 17:33 Posted Tuesday at 17:33 I disagree, I reckon Baz is prime click bait material. Supporters of every championship side will clicking on link, in the hope it’s not them potentially signing him. 6
suewhistle Posted Tuesday at 21:44 Posted Tuesday at 21:44 Portsmouth don't need him, they've managed to lose at home to Millwall tonight all on their own.. 1

A change of scenery would be beneficial for Gavin but the main priority is getting actual competitive games with something at stake - titles, Europe, avoiding relegation. 2

I for one would be interested to see how he gets on without suicidal defences playing in front of him. He's had two seasons with saints - one being the absolute car crash relegation from the prem (and when he was very inexperienced himself), and the other being Martin's transition and then total adoption of propaganda football.
