20% of future deal AND a buyback clause, we seem really desperate in this case.

Hopefully it’s 20% of net profit on the future deal and not 20% of gross fee. That seems to be the structure I’m sure I’ve seen recently from other clubs.

I would have thought it doesn't need to totally rhyme and you could just keep it simple. :

Ga-vin Bazuna, Ireland's greatest goalkeeper;

He was a skate but he's alright now.

Hopefully we can introduce the crowd movements too, going left and right then jump up and down and to the knee.

Would bring back memories of the Lallana chant.

Did we ever get the Adam/Stuart Armstrong song going like the City Kolo/Yaya Toure song? I remember some tried to get it going for Steve and Kevlin Davis a few seasons ago. That with hand movements, plus the brilliant new Banzunu song and there is definitely an opportunity to make more of VAR. How about "V-A-R No goal" , to the tune of the 70s classic D I S C O, we could spell out VAR with our giant foam hands then point to a goal kick when we get to the no goal bit. That would be crazy.

Ok. Mispronounced surname and odd lyrics. Gotcha.

"He is an itsy bitsy, teeny weeny, Irish goalie called Bazini

And he will make lots of sa-aves today

An itsy bitsy, teeny weeny, Irish goalie called Bazini

And he fucking ha-ates Pompay."

Done!

Fitting the syllables to a tune......
Gavin Bazunu = Reuben Agboola
Bazunu = Phil Boyer.

If you need help with the tunes please contact anyone over the age of 60 🤣

If we are including Northern Ireland Pat Jennings might just shade it, similar with Robbie Keane and George Best.

But they didn’t play for the premier league!

well, Robbie Keane played for Liverpool didn’t he? So he wins

Was speaking to a goalkeeper coach who has played at reasonable level himself and knows a few people in the game, he reckons Bazuna is already a brilliant keeper. He said his ability on the ball is A grade example for what is needed in a modern day keeper.

Unlike certain fraternities of the fan-base, I tend not to cast judgement on players, either before they've signed, or until they've played for us for a significant number of games, but I'm going to stick my neck out here...

I have a feeling this Bazuna fella could turn out to be the signing of the season.

There we are... neck on the line and all that.... #shootmedown

I agree i posted the same earlier in this thread, his ability to use his feet should add a new facet to our game and give the defence confidence to push up a bit and pass back with confidence.

Genuinely happy with this one. All the noises from anyone who’s seen him play are raving about him. Couldn’t give a hoot if he’s never played at this level before, we’ve got more than enough experience in this squad.

To be fair, nobody has played at this level before until they've played at this level. No matter how young or old you can never be sure how good they'll be until they are thrown in at the deep end. From what I've heard from my Pompey insider I have every faith in him to ge, at worst, a step up from McCarthy and Forster.

In that video he praised the Pompey fans so I hope he spends his time with us rotting on the bench.

To be fair, he also said the difference between Division 3 and international football is that he's been able to play at bigger grounds and in front of more fans... And there was me thinking you couldn't get any better experience than playing at Fratton Park... ;)
