Verbal Posted 27 June, 2023 Posted 27 June, 2023 Can't see him hoovering up this mess any time soon. 3
StDunko Posted 27 June, 2023 Posted 27 June, 2023 Saints have sucked for a while, so it's in his sphere of expertise. 2
skintsaint Posted 27 June, 2023 Posted 27 June, 2023 https://www.getsurrey.co.uk/news/nostalgia/day-woking-fc-scored-staggering-12503407 Good news is he isn't adverse to the odd defensive error. 1
Ted Bates Statue Posted 27 June, 2023 Posted 27 June, 2023 Hope I'm proven wrong but his CV suggests that he's full of hot air. 1 1
Lighthouse Posted 27 June, 2023 Posted 27 June, 2023 Should help fill the power vacuum in the boardroom. 2
Saint_clark Posted 27 June, 2023 Posted 27 June, 2023 That's good, there's been a power vacuum since Semmens left. 3

Saint_clark Posted 27 June, 2023 Posted 27 June, 2023 (edited) I see we've taken a risk and decided to roll the dyson someone with no football experience. (I'm trying). Edited 27 June, 2023 by Saint_clark 3 6
Bad Wolf Posted 27 June, 2023 Author Posted 27 June, 2023 My turn... I don't think his previous company was that successful. Most of their products just sit around collecting dust. 1 3
Turkish Posted 27 June, 2023 Posted 27 June, 2023 the fact we can attract people from brands like Dyson is a real statement of intent. 2
Kingsland Codger Posted 27 June, 2023 Posted 27 June, 2023 I shall wait for the dust to settle before making any comment. 1 1
SotonianWill Posted 27 June, 2023 Posted 27 June, 2023 Big fan, though he may be pushed around the boardroom 1 3
Kenilworthy Posted 27 June, 2023 Posted 27 June, 2023 Well Dyson are used to flogging over-priced and over-hyped stuff. So he is well suited to the world of football 1

I actually know a fair few people who work / worked for Dyson and its apparently a terrible place to work in terms of business culture. In terms of a business though, they are pretty innovative and very functional. Perhaps exactly what we need - a bit of an arsehole running us. 1 1
Chez Posted 27 June, 2023 Posted 27 June, 2023 he won't be brushing things like our relegation under the carpet.

Le Timmier Posted 27 June, 2023 Posted 27 June, 2023 Won't be a popular appointment with all suctions of the fanbase 2 2

Charlie Wayman Posted 27 June, 2023 Posted 27 June, 2023 (edited) Obviously he'll want to start with a clean sweep but I wouldn't be rolling out the red carpet for him just yet. A man with no baggage at least. Seriously, it's good that he has had so much experience of running a football club . Edited 27 June, 2023 by Charlie Wayman 1

Dyson, the man is a detestable individual, a fervent backer of Brexit after which he moved his business abroad and buggered off to Monaco to live. Badger Posted 27 June, 2023 Posted 27 June, 2023 Before being too critical let’s remember Cortese was a banker. And Rupert chairman of a chain of granny farms.

Miltonaggro Posted 27 June, 2023 Posted 27 June, 2023 His kids are called Henry and Hettie, that’s the past level of dedication to his field of operation. Let’s hope he can make the ticket office bagless.
Sunglasses Ron Posted 27 June, 2023 Posted 27 June, 2023 Damn. Came here with a bag full of Dyson jokes and they’ve all been done.
benjii Posted 28 June, 2023 Posted 28 June, 2023 Seems like a massive upgrade on Semmens, at least on paper. A guy with experience running a large geo for a high profile business, as opposed to someone who used to work for a marketing agency. 1
Weston Super Saint Posted 28 June, 2023 Posted 28 June, 2023 Let's hope he hoovers up some bargains in the transfer market.
Master Bates Posted 29 June, 2023 Posted 29 June, 2023 Head of Technical Development Iain Brunnschweiler has left the club

david in sweden Posted 4 July, 2023 Posted 4 July, 2023 New CEO?.....most important questions. 1. Does he like football ...and does he understand the offside rule, before Wenger changes it. ? 2. Did he have a favourite football club when young? 3. If he has a RR to run, we shouldn't be paying him too much.
