Andrew Watson Posted 13 June, 2023 Share Posted 13 June, 2023 Have never watched game,on day was recovering from serious illness and was not up to watching [ thank god ]. Anyway why have Sky never repeated to my knowledge, [ in its enterity ] the 3 - 0, battering we gave them the previous season. ?
SotonianWill Posted 13 June, 2023 Share Posted 13 June, 2023 the 2005 game is always on tv for some reason.
Ted Bates Statue Posted 13 June, 2023 Share Posted 13 June, 2023 I don't tend to check the TV listings but I am frequently informed that Pompey get battered everywhere they go, so you probably don't notice when Sky show all of those instances because it's just routine at this point. Compare and contrast with the concept of David Norris Day, an occasion of mild annoyance at the time, which still yielded us a point that helped us on the way to promotion 🤣

Is this horrendous 4-1 away game not from the series of (constant) repeats that are shown as being particular clubs favourite match as picked by their fans (presumably from a selection that Sky hav available). Their fans undoubtedly picked that one. Losing 4-3 at Oldham is often repeated in the same series. Our "pick" seems to be the 6-3 v Man Utd although how and when they were voted for I've no idea
Turkish Posted 14 June, 2023 Share Posted 14 June, 2023 Was an interesting day. Pompeys lucky win where they were shit for 85 minutes but had three pot shots that went plus a dodgy penalty in whilst we dominated the game but missed a hatful of chances really overshadowed for the public at least events off the pitch. All this nonsense about demolition Derby etc when in reality they are a small navy port that got lucky. The african striker they had who is usually better at gymnastics than soccerball does the silly cartwheels when he scored had the luckiest game of his life mishitting a couple of shots into the top corner that would usually end up in the top row of the stand then faked injury as he had to celebrate in front of us, shit himself and pretend he'd done his hamstring. and dont even get me started on that penalty a dive, he was going down before Neimi got close and the other one was a clear foul on NIemi before the african gymnast mishit it into the top corner. Lucky on the pitch, not so lucky off it where the real demolition derby took place.
