Chance creation in those situations was a real nightmare last year.

I don't want it to be one of those things like the striker situation that we don't address and then it becomes really obvious that that is our big weakness for the season.

Probably worth remembering it's an early pre season game, squad players being used, and the temperature is ridiculously high.

Doesn't excuse some rank goalkeeping, and poor passing.

Just pass and go, really not a complicated game.

I also don’t think our CB’s are good enough to play the possession game. It’s all too slow when it gets to them, they dribble it up to the halfway line looking for a pass and play the most simple one to the right/left back who’s then closed down immediately…

or they play a shite ball over the top that runs out for a goal kick

Yep, just checked and it’s 34 degrees. Would’ve been much better playing at Goztepe’s ground, it’s 26 there.

As alluded to, it only be a preseason friendly but they're a Turkish Division 2 side and we look no better than last season. Offer next to nothing going forwards and so many players with a guaranteed fuck up in the locker. What the hell have they been 'working on' in training because this is like a continuation of last season, all fart and no shit

Definitely. Lyanco in particular is the absolute opposite of what this system needs.

He's obviously very talented. Just not ready to be a number one. Keepers don't mature until about 24-25. Look at the way Gunn is now starting to come into his own.
