For me , I’d like to see Everton and Leicester come down with us.  Everton have had a ridiculous run in the top flight and it’s nigh on time that it ended. Leicester I’ve never liked , and then there’s the 9-0

I absolutely want Everton to down. Every Saints fan should due to Bailey, Heath, and that horrendous 7 1. If they joined us it would add a tiny bit of sunshine.

However absolutely not. Yes they are a basket case and in considerable chaos, but they'll attract a major backer. They have a decent although dated pedigree, large following, new stadium, and crucially a talent pool of youngsters teams like us cannot get near. They'll also attract good loan signings.

Like it or not they'll be seen as a Premier League club playing in the Championship.

They may spiral initially but they'll get their shit together eventually, and then be in our way.

Be fantastic if they did a Leeds and disappear into League but I can't see that happening. If Qatar don't get Utd Everton could be their next target.

Leicester are obviously joining Saints and are in exactly the same predicament. Happy to take them on.

Prefer the third to be Forest but it's looking like Leeds.

Looks like Leicester are joining the fun

Leicester fans have seen this coming this season, everyone else will have played before they play again next Monday night at Newcastle and potentially they could be relegated then

If they're still in with a chance at the last game I think they'll beat West Ham who could be focusing on a European final

This weekend:

Wolves v Everton

West Ham v Leeds

Forest v Arsenal

I wouldn't be surprised to see all of those end in a draw

I imagine Everton will beat Wolves, that's exactly the game you want at this point of the season other than a match against us.

Leeds grind out a point, I think Arsenal will beat Forest.

That then leaves Leicester down if they lose to Newcastle, Everton safe and last day Leeds or Forest for the prize of playing at St Mary's again next season.

I wish there were a couple more teams in the mix because it's far more exciting than a battle for the Champions or Europa League.

Both of Everton's remaining matches are against teams that are already on the beach. Only one of Leicester's, Leeds' and Forest's are.

I wanted Leics and Everton to come down with us as the nuclear option, but had it in my head it'd be Leeds and Forest (the latter of whom, I don't want to go down).

As things stand, I think Leicester actually might. They look nearly as bad as us. Think it might be us, Leics and Leeds, but I'd love Big Sam getting revenge on Everton by relegating them on the last day! Plus I have in-laws who support Everton, so the piss-taking of Saints will be much reduced if Everton drop too.

Everton, because the meltdown from their supporters will be glorious.  Not to mention the hotel fireworks shenanigans.

I don't see Everton going, they'll sneak out of this - they do every year, then they'll have a pitch invasion celebrating it, bomb next year, change the manager and rinse repeat.

It'll be Leeds following us and Leicester I think.

Leicester do indeed look done, and Leeds have a tough as nails run-in, so you're probably correct.  I still would love to see Everton drop as well though.

Unfortunately can't see Leeds or Leicester picking up another point between them.

Agree that Leicester look gone.

However, Leeds are playing West Ham away after they've had a trip to Alkmaar midweek, I can see them getting at least a point out of that. Then they have Spurs at home, who are absolutely pitiful at the moment. I can see them getting a win in that game.

Same with Everton though. Wolves away, which they should get at least a point and Bournemouth at home which they should win.

Gonna be tight.

Bournemouth are now mathematically safe. Thanks to us.

Looking at next season I'm not sure who is the better shout to be coming down with us, being totally selfish you want the weaker ones. Leicester, financially, look to be in dire straights sadly - they're in a position where their big sales (Maddison/Tiliemans) will be either free or cut price as they've let their contracts run down, so I'm not sure where they generate funds - as they couldn't even sign anyone last summer if you remember, and that was after they sold Fofana for £60m - so they could be in trouble.

Leeds may be able to sort themselves out, they've got the backing of their American Owners which kicks in properly in the summer.

The Leicester players last night against Liverpool reflected our players against Fulham….passionless and defeatist. Are these players all paid too much and don’t care about the club and supporters. Perhaps they have realised their managers are not up to the task.

Think Leicester and Forest will go.

Everton have the perfect final game being at home to Bournemouth and Leeds' final game against Spurs is very winnable. Though Arsenal messing up their title run in gives Forest a better chance now the gooners have nothing to play for.

Everton, Forest, Leeds and Leicester are pretty much as dislikable as each other in my book so happy to see any of them down.

Agree with this with the grating escape of the Boscombe bucket rattlers.

Bournemouth are safe on 39 points. None of Everton, Leeds or Leicester can match that.

Saints, Leicester, Leeds , that's 3 big teams being relegated based on recent premier league history,  unusual for promoted teams to all survive

originally i wanted Everton & Leicester but now leeds have Allardyce as manager I want them to go so Leeds & Everton please but looks like Leicester are buggering that up

I'd give my right one. But agree they will get out of it and Dyche will be hailed as the second coming as a result

Everton will be fine.

They will use the Hans Segers 'Get Out Of Jail Card' in at least one of the remaining two games.

For anyone who doesnt know who Hans Segers is, he was playing for Wimbledon a few years back when Everton had to win their last home game of the season and were one nil done until dear Hans was blinded by a number of large ££££ signs restricting his vision (19,000 of them by all accounts)

Everton won 2-1 to secure their stay in the Prem and Hans had a 'blinder'

Sure it was 3-2, with Everton 0-2 down at one point....

this game?

Exactly this

They’ll get investment no problem, they’ll be seen as one of those clubs too big not to with a new stadium etc. the new stadium will give so much more new opportunity.

Leeds and Everton feel sorry for Leicester fans, feels like a carbon copy of us really, owner dies funds dry up etc , but at least they won something

Everton will finish 17th and won't be punished for FFP until next season meaning the teams that have been at a disadvantage won't benefit.

This is the likely outcome, but it fucking stinks. They should have had the points deduction last season, so if they escape it again this season it will be an absolute travesty.

Looks like a number of clubs (including us) have launched a legal challenge to it though...

Rival clubs threaten to sue Everton for £300MILLION over losses (msn.com)

Everton and Leicester, not because i want to face them in the championship, but because i can't stand either of them and just want to see them suffer.

Although in all seriousness, i think relegation will be a disaster for Leicester. And actually, i would expect similar problems for everton given they've already breached premier league FFP rules 2 seasons running (without punishment :| )

Not sure what we can sue them for, it’s not like Everton overspending has made to outcome of our season any different.

They’ve not beeN able to recruit, because of amount of money spent. Doesn’t help losing players like Tielemans for free after buying him for £45m or whatever it was.

Surely we're destined to end up the same way soon following our recent big spending ? (That has been a disaster generally)

I think they had a 94m loss recently. We have a debt but serviceable.
The sale of Lavia, JWP, KWP, Salisu and ABK will wipe out last seasons spend.
Not sure Leicester will have same Maddison apart they have loads out of contract I read. We have people like Walcott, Ely and McCarthy + others wages of ours that will help too.
