This is bullshit being that the team were putting out is basically the one that came up. The squad we have right now would be top 4 no bother.

RM conceded 63 goals against last season. The man can't set up a defence even the Championship with one of the most expensive squads.

We're well shot of him and other managers are available to take us back up. "Togetherness" and "identity" just comes from winning.

TBF, we have conceded more per game with Juric as Manager...but luckily as you said a number of times, it can't get any worse!!

And as I said, it can when SR are picking managers.

Rasmus and Spores probably watched Leicester tonight, and instead of clearing out the stables, they are instead preparing them for RVN.

Quite right. 0-5 at half time to Tottenham was perfectly good. Admirable, even. Definitely gotten worse since that display. No doubt.

0-5 against the worst away team in the League...that's worse.

One result after the manager had been in post for 14 days and the other result after the manager had been in post for 905 days. Yep, definitely comparing like-with-like... ;)

They’re not the worst team away team since though!

No, results like that can help to pick up teams. It should have been 12, and we should have been in our Honeymoon period.

The fact is we haven't conceded less than 60 in a season since the 2017/2018 season.

You'd imagine the second manager would do better though, wouldn't you? New Managers tend to do better initially, rather than ones getting towards the end of their tenure.

Very unlikely he will be here in June, whatever Solak said on TalkSPORT frankly.

Fact checking seems to have gone out of fashion all over the place.   Let the Farmer have his day in the sun - he’s another still grieving the loss of Russ.

Depends what level of shite they inherit I guess...? (If it's a good enough excuse for Sir Kier Starmer... ;)

🤦‍♂️ A dog with diarrhoea would be more solid.

And this is what I've been saying for the god knows how long. Our defence is dog shite, has been for years. This is due to player recruitment and coaching. It has spanned 8 managers.

But then you can't blame RM for it either then...

Check those facts then - prove me wrong.

My guess is you won't, as you can't.

Some might argue our defenders were some of the best in the Championship last season (on paper... I'm sure @Matthew Le God will correct me if I'm wrong :)) but the system being played contributed significantly to our poor goals-against tally, less so the relative quality of the players (for a change). But I totally agree that we haven't had a premier league standard defence for many seasons now.

I don't think many Saints fans would argue that Stephens and Bednarek are the best in any division - and I don't think KWP is any good defensively either.

Really? If they do they don't understand football. Entitled to their opinions of course, but so are a lot of clueless people.

So, Foxes fans vent fury, we vent............... er.............. What exactly?

Maybe you could organise one of your boycotts that involves piling money into the club's tills?

TBF, what 150 PL appearances for £6m? Can’t moan at the value, issue is the club hasn’t spent the £25-30m required in that position.

Probably only should’ve been a squad player but Wesley Hoedt at £17m/£35m in todays value yet appalling and wasn’t good enough for Watford last season, and Vestergaard who can’t run (amazingly we got our money back - cheers Brendan!). Then we went down the Lidl route with Lyanco, ABK and not replacing an ageing Yoshida or non-developing Stephens.

Yes, it’s been a decent spiral in CB quality if you take a line through the likes of Claus, Svensson, Fonte, Toby, VVD.

I think Dr Who is the one who made up some complete bunkum about new boy Johannes Spores. Tried to appear itk but got his facts completely muddled. So I’m gonna go out on a limb and suggest he might, just maybe, be full of it.

Nope not me. I am not itk about anything Saints anymore and not for a good 15 years fella.
