He has to go now.

To lose from being 2-0 up at home, against a relegation rival, is truly abysmal.

The substitutions we fucking awful.

Get him out.

The only thing I will say in his defence is that Taylor basically ensured we had to take off all our key players with the yellow card noncery in the first half. We get the blatant pen on onuachu and we win regardless. We have just been bent over from minute one by the ref.

But that's all I am going to offer him. The final goal is a carbon copy of the Ipswich one... It was unforgiveable in that game, it's absolutely unacceptable that it has happened twice.

It cannot be seen where Russ is going to get it right at this level. Ref was incredibly poor and seemingly bias but Martin has made some shocking substitutions and after conceding from a corner in a similar way previously, has either not prepared the players properly or they don’t listen to what he is saying. We also have some shocking players for this level, which is the result of years of bad transfer management of this football club. Sad to say it, but a change is needed unless the board doesn’t care if we are relegated. We are on for the worst ever Premier League total.

Omnishambles

Defending set pieces by packing everyone by the goal and leaving numerous opponents unmarked on the edge of the box is a disaster waiting to happen. And it did... again!

He just doesn't learn.

Agree with all of that MLG - not paying attention to those small but important details at Staplewood has cost him two home wins, 4 points.

That’s without the stupid playing out error at Newcastle, Bournemouth tactics with Tyler as lone striker, self-confessed Forest and Brentford tactical disasters.

However, Rasmus has also made omnishambles mistakes. Dragan needs an experienced top leagues DoF to pull the strings at SR, be in charge of the SR board with Dragan and get the core football businesses right, starting with Saints. Start with the first teams and then the infrastructure. The player trading smart sheets and moneyball strategies can come again once Saints are re-established as a regular PL outfit again in a few season’s time. Otherwise Rasmus will just keep gambling and hoping to fluke an appointment and the odd transfer. TEDTalks do not make a DoF.

Needs to go clearly isn't working..

I'm sure he is a good man manager and one of the lads. But we need points on the board.

How many times do we have to spell it out! stop trying to emulate Man City we don't have the calibre of players to instill such a style.....

Tactictically inept, not pragmatic enough and quite frankly some of the formations and player choices leave alot to be desired..

Must win game against Bournemouth let's leave most our strikers on the bench..... What a banana! 🤣

Get him gone now

I’m joking. The man is woefully out of his depth: that was obvious with the Flying V formation at home to Forest

Flying V makes it sound a lot more dynamic than it was: a clogged U-bend.

Let Lallana take them for Man City, may as well get some value for money out of the bloke!

Absolutely indefensible from Martin today, no matter how some on here will try.

The bloke is out of his depth in a big way. The substitutes today were just baffling.

We are not fit enough and not smart enough - in addition to having a lack of quality in key areas.

We need to decide if we want to give it a go or if we want to beat Derby's record, because that is where we are heading.

Me too! He's trying to break derbys record low points tally... the man doesn't get enough credit!

Carbon copy of the Ipswich last minute winner. How do you not learn from that. That is a tactical set up, not on the players.

Imagine bringing Smallbone and Fraser on ahead of Taylor and Lallana. Stackable offences in their own right.

Does anyone else think we are woefully unfit? Seems like every game we just can't sustain the tempo we're trying to play

As someone else posted, it’ll be like WGS when he took over and was appalled at how unfit the squad was.

It did look like at the end he was telling Cunthony Taylor that his decisions had cost him his job.
Whether it has or it hasn’t is not really for debate.

Not sure what he was saying, but looked a man who wasn't fussed about getting a suspension.

1 point from 24 will cost him his job no need to blame Taylor

As I said, it’s not everything and not all reasons.

I don’t think if we’d been awarded a pen when TP was hauled down it wouldn’t have gone to VAR as a clear and obvious error.

Smallbone is fit again and Stephens isn't suspended. They say it's the darkest just before dawn but the stars are aligning before Man City next week.

Could be double figures.

He'll be going now, just not sure if it'll be before City unless we go against our initial plan that we need to have someone lined up.

Will he though? I thought he said in the presser that the people in the building supported him, or words to that effect. If that’s the case then we deserve what we are undoubtedly going to,get.

The longer we leave it the less chance we have of getting in a half decent manager. City away is a write off, so get him gone on Monday, stick a caretaker in charge and aim to have the new man in for the Everton game.

Yeah, he seems to like to bully Alfie House - hope some jouno put him on the spot and asked him to explain his choice of subs.

How many times are we continuously saying the same things after a game we’ve lost? That we were doing ok until the subs , he must be the most inept manager we’ve ever had for making game changing subs which help us lose games we had in our grasp. It actually beggars belief, even my 12 year old son could see that you’d put on Taylor before Fraser at full back and lallana before smallbone. If he’s still here by Monday then clearly the club are comfortable with not only being relegated, but with a record low points total. After the all the piss taking at the two 9-0s don’t they think we’ve suffered enough as fans?

He can’t sit there and say ‘Rasmus warned me we must win the Leicester game or I’m gone’ tbf. More likely to be Dragan saying it, must be fed up with Rasmus and Russell and really ought to be parting company with both on Monday morning. The player trading has been dreadful again, 5 or 6 too many deals when two more Ramsdale level signings of quality were needed. Better value on PSR too.

Asked Russell Martin if he fears for his future: "I had a brilliant chat with Dragan and the guys yesterday, so no."

Bloke has got it cushty. Knows he isn't gonna be sacked. He can relegate us then get picked up by a bigger club like Kompany.

First half was OK.  We were set up differently and getting the ball forward quicker.  Was much better than recently

The real problem is game management and RM is clueless.  We could all see that the Leicester right winger was causing havoc and the subs made no sense.  He clearly doesnt make good decisions during a game and at Premier League level you just have to be able to do this.

Expect that he will be gone by Monday

Yep. Serves me right for being patient and supporting our manager I guess. FWIW he will get sacked before too long, just don’t go getting your hopes up up when we do.

If that is true then it shows how out of their depth SR actually are. Martin Fucking Semmens again selected this shower. I don’t know why Dragan doesn’t just set fire to tens of millions of pounds on a Scottish island like the KLF did rather than tortuously throw it away constantly via Rasmus, Kraft, Russell Martin and other clueless cretins. If I was him, I’d try for a former top level manager who fancies a director role, bit of overseas travel and understands how medium-large football clubs work, and give Rasmus the heave-ho, if he can.

We don’t need to wait until Monday. If Martin had any honour he would fall on his sword now. But he doesn’t. He’s a conceited, self satisfied championship level at best, average manager. You could see that last season. He should have been sacked over the summer but instead we bizarrely gave him an extended contract. Cortese knew what to do when he got rid of Nige and replaced him with Poch. No sentimentality. The Board are just as much to blame here. Everyone know that his time is up. We do it now or we wait 6 weeks and do it then when the position will be far worse. Get Potter if they can or even Moyes. Both with PL experience and simply better managers in every department.
