Blackmore should be calling out Lego if, sorry when, we lose today. Instead of sucking up to the bloke he needs to ask him about the contrast in Ipswich’s approach to staying up. Instead of tha5 he’ll probably go on about how “cruel” the league is, and how plucky we were.

Don't forget "Some brilliant moments" that we had despite losing......

I don't think it's going to be a thumping by a team that eventually turns the crowd, moreover it will be like losing to Wolves in our last relegation season that breaks it. Losing late on to ten men when being a goal up at the time of the sending off was a real turning point in an already half toxic atomosphere.

So Wolves players start fighting amongst themselves and the manager gets fired....

Maybe Ross Stewart could give Sulemana a slap and contribute something to this season

I think Blackmore is an interesting and passionate commentator. I enoy his podcasts with the excellent Jo Tessem As an interviewer he has to balance asking the difficult questions with the need not to be shut out by the club, which has happened in the past. It isn't an easy juggling job and sometimes he gets it wrong but generally I think he tries to do the right thing.

Generally agree, although in one recent comment he made after the Villa game it simply trotted out the RM line. Everyone else and their dog disagreed.

It is a difficult balance keeping an "in" with the club and asking "challenging" questions....

He didn’t seem to have a problem raising challenging issues when Jones was at Saints. To some degree the phone-ins he held just whipped up the frenzy.

(Remember the Doswell interview, and a tweet comparing how unpopular Porch’s appointment after Adkins was, and another Argentinian coach - Gallardo - wouldn’t face such hostility).

I disagree.  He is up Martin’s arsehole.  Tessem isn’t and isn’t afraid of giving an honest opinion.

I listened to that podcast after the Villa game  and it was a load of old pony. He was trying to imply getting rid of Martin, but going down anyway would mean us losing our best talent. It was one of the pony reasons he gave for sticking with him. The reality is the talent will leave regardless of who is in charge. The thought players will stay for Lego is deluded.

His job isn’t to maintain access to the club, it’s not a juggling job. His job is to ask questions listeners want to ask. He wasn’t “juggling” when he went after jones. He was scared of Ralph & he’s scared of Lego. Not a great trait for a journo.

It's obvious that Pep's team has completely followed the Martin template and presented MU with two goals and three points with two goals conceded straight from the Martin playbook. Maybe teams have been able to capitalise on the weaknesses and playing the same way as opponents that have beaten Saints. City are a shadow of their successful period and although 1-0 up with 5 minutes left lost 1-2. It is time to ditch this stupid possession game and consign it to history.

Anyone that’s been defending him this is partially on you.

Crowd should have turned months ago.

There’s a certain irony to it that the club didn’t think he was worth the money. We signed Elyounoussi instead 😂

Don’t think that’s correct. We agreed terms with Norwich but the player chose Leicester.

The choice of Elyonoussi as the replacement  does represent quite a leap in quality though.

He went to the club that offered him the most wages.

Is that similar to the turd that sits at the bottom of the toilet pan?  Just peeking out at you, almost defiantly, it refuses to be flushed away.
