I actually feel a tad sorry for Russ this evening. Whilst we're weren't great (especially in the second half), poor refereeing decisions influenced the outcome. That said, if he and the club parted ways before out next game then I wouldn't be shedding too many tears...

Not having any penetrating, fast, attacking play cost us more than any referee.

Possibly / probably. Yes, the poor refereeing wasn't necessarily the only decisive factor, but it definitely had an  influence on the outcome today.

Time for a change, with an international break get it sorted pronto before the 24th.

Thanks for Wembley Martin, but inevitably Russball has been a catastrophic failure in the PL

Got to sack Russell Martin. You cannot justify entering the third international break of the season with only four points out of a total of 33 available. Been so many collapses and games where we've not been in the fight. No shots on target today against the team in 20th place, with 1 win in 20 games and a toxic home atmosphere. They were there for the taking if we got our heads out of our arses and were able to find a way to penetrate in the final third rather than just shuffling the ball about

No manager is keeping this group up IMO, I've been quite adamant about that ever since the window shut, but I'd like to think there's some who'd be less feeble than we are at present. This is shaping up to be a very meek and naive relegation as it stands. So often we're just not in games or just aimlessly drifting through them. 70% possession but no shots is not 'brave' either. RM has been very clear that he will not change himself, so it's on the board to make the change

There's an international break coming now and then some games straight after with little to no expectation, so make the change and don't waste any more games on this nonsense. He's had Brentford, Bournemouth, Everton, Ipswich, Leicester, Wolves and come out of it with four points. That shouldn't be enough to keep anyone happy

It's the fans that you should feel sad for. Martin is being paid an absolute fortune for presiding over this shit show and will recieve a huge pay-off for complete incompetence when SR finally grow a pair and sack him.  The pity is that the owners can't sack themselves while they're at it. We are hopelessly run by a bunch of chancers.

9 losses in 11. Utterly depressing reading. He should have gone after Bournemouth. Then the new man might have had an opportunity to get more than 3 points out of Leicester, Everton and Wolves. SR have allowed RM to inflict too much damage on our season.

He looked the same after the Bmuff debacle but on he goes with his propaganda football and the same old cliches and excuses trotted out every week. Sick of it.

Someone posted before the Everton game that they had it on very good authority that Martin will. be moved aside after today.

Lets hope that was not made up bullshit.

They don’t understand that this club is more than a balance sheet to fans. By their inactivity, by their lack of understanding of what fans want and need from the club, they have displayed and continue to display an arrogance, a complete misappropriation of their stewardship of the club.

They seem to fail to understand that while owners come and go, fans are for life.

I would like to formally apologise for making the baseless, without foundation claim that we "piss about with it" to no great effect. The Martinettes demanded evidence and I am sorry I was unable to submit an acceptable dossier in time.

Anyway on a completely unrelated point, our possession today was 71%.

Of course we could all be wrong about RM getting such a pathetic number of points. Perhaps he "knows" that at the end of the season

the PL will announce that the League positions won't be decided by points but by possession percentages.

I know that's absolute nonsence but I am trying to cheer myself up, spoiler alert it ain't working 🤢

I've had enough. How we play is so fucking tedious.

Funny how we looked a threat in the final 5 minutes when we went direct.

We need a change of tactics and Martin won't change it so the decision should be easy for the board.

Is that not what our fans say about every manager? The last few anyway and even if they did lack ambition, they certainly wern't cheap.

So you're saying Ruben Selles, Nathan Jones and Russell Martin were big money huge investment appointments that showed towering ambition?

Is that what you're saying?

Hi. Not much to add other than what I've said already recently. Don't really think the manager is to blame for limp attackers being limp and limp defenders being limp at this level. Do think today was piss poor though and we'll likely make a change now so look forward to the next guy making a big difference.

All of our choices under SR have been horrific, no getting around that. They may have spent a fair bit of $$ on them, but that's on SR and their absolutley clueless approach rather than the calibre of who they were working with.
