I do find it very ironic that the very people now desperately trying to pretend that I am a racist are the same people who criticised me and others like me who supported players for taking the knee and protesting against racism.

No surprise then that they continue to support the people that I mentioned earlier and others like them. Anyone reading their posts over the years will know exactly where their posts are coming from.

If you criticise a politician for their policies and behaviour and they have black or brown skin, that makes you racist. If you criticise the Israeli government for the way they are systematically killing Palestinian civilians and raising Gaza to the ground you are an anti-Semite.

These tactics are exactly the same from Donald Trump’s playbook and have been used by right wing extremists through the ages. They play the player because if they played the ball they know they would lose.

The Tory Party have been an unmitigated disaster. Brexit has been an unmitigated disaster. Never mind that, let’s pretend that the big issue here is a poster on a football forum  and while we are piling on we can distract from the fact that we backed the wrong horses.

Carry on lads, I think most reasonable posters on here saw through you years ago.

Perhaps we can concentrate on the issues now instead of indulging in your personal grudges?

Conversely if you say another at that doesn't align 100% with Sogs view of the world prepare for the Tommy Robinson/Katy Hopkins/Trump supporting right wing racist narcissist barrage of abuse that's coming your way. What a helmet.

I certainly find it interesting to listen to well argued points of view that I disagree with. The alternative is taking the soggy approach and screaming that anyone who isn't a Corbyn supporter or who doesn't believe that Kemi Badenoch is the black Satan is a Christian nazi belt buckle wearing, Katie Hopkins supporting skinhead whose only interaction with other races is when they cut their hair or shine their shoes.

Sogs problem is that on the rare occasions he does make a good point his post is usually littered with a load of right wing, trump supporting bollocks every other word. Plus he's also been caught our bullshitting on numerous occasions and then there are the personal attacks and name calling if you disagree. It's no wonder no one takes him as seriously as he takes himself.

Don't forget that it's fine for him to fire off a load of epithets at others but when someone gives it back it's an unacceptable attack and everyone needs to move on and focus on the issues that matter. Unless he wants to make another dig or insult of course and then it's perfectly acceptable. I  ignored him and didn't reply to any of his posts for over a year and he mentioned me or threw insults my way on numerous occasions the entire time whilst telling anyone who would listen that he had me on ignore.

In SOG land you either agree with him or you're a horrible racist and a thug.

I can believe that there are some Jeremy Corbyn supporting, Guardian reading, James O'brien listening, Owen Jones following individuals who are fundamentally good people. I'm not a fan of these things and I disagree with almost all of their views but I accept that you can be a decent person who just happens to not align themselves with any of my views or opinions.

Soggy is incapable of doing the same thing. In his mind, if you aren't a fan of these things then you're evil, or wrong, or a racist. He can't conceive of a world where you could for example align yourself with some of the views of the Conservative Party, want to reduce immigration or think that there is a problem with fundamentalist Islam in parts of the UK and also be a good and kind person that happens to disagree with him. It's unfortunate because closing yourself off in that manner robs you of the chance to learn, hear different perspectives and also to humanise the people you disagree with. Far easier to write everyone off who disagrees with you as akin to Hitler than have to engage with their arguments or maybe even accept that some of what they say has merit. I doubt that the Echo chambers he lives in on social media have helped much in that regard and given his age, it's unlikely that he will get much more open minded before he croaks it which is a shame.

He's a fan of Starmer - he's probably more right than you are mate.

I was down the pub the other day with a Labour Councillor who was bemoaning the parties direction recently under Starmer, and he said that if someone saw Starmer as a Labour PM, they may as well be voting for Rishi, Truss or Bozzer.

I do find it a bit duplicitous that Starter really just wholesale changes what he stands for in order to get elected. I suppose that's not much different from any of them but it makes me doubt that he will actually do what he says when he's in power. I'm not sure anyone as hugely enthusiastic about starmer, it's more that he will win by default because no one wants more conservatives.

And rightly so, they've been an unmitigated disaster.

But yes, I worry about Starmer's true politics. Not nearly left (or center) enough to bring around the proper change we need.

Safe to say my worry is not the same as yours. Rather, I feel he's quieting the radical hard left factions until he gets in power then will look to bring back some of the harder policies he's recently disowned.

But even with the chasm between us, left and right, we can both agree that sadoldgit seems a bit of a tit.

James O’Brien on LBC this morning criticised Kemi Badenoch for being dishonest about the Canadian trade talks. Given the logic of a certain poster on here that means that his criticism is contingent on the colour of her skin rather than her actions.

Did you see the documentary about Ellie Williams last night? Tommy Robinson was straight up there trying to incite racial hatred. If you think calling him and people like him out is just “something, something” that is your right. I guess people with his views are always going to find some support in football forums but if being called “a bit of a tit” is the price to be paid for posting against these people, knock yourselves out.

Personally I think the “bit of a tit” is the poster who can’t seem to mention Kemi Badenoch with referring to her skin colour yet he calls me the racist.

Are trying to alienate the entire forum membership ?

Two in a row where you refer to "the colour of her skin".

Inadvertent racism is still racism.

As someone who doesnt go around deliberately seeking things to get angry about so we can preach about it on a football forum the answer to that would be no.

The thing is SOG, we generally politically align. But your line of attack and delivery kind of jumped the shark a while back and now it's just noise.

Take a step back and a new approach would be my advice.

In the space of two posts we got James O'brien, a black MP, lbc and Tommy Robinson. Make a couple more on Katie Hopkins, the guardian, Corbyn and nazis and we will have a full house.

Outside of soggy I haven't seen anyone mention tommy Robinson on here and certainly no messages of praise or support. He seems a little obsessed by him. It certainly takes up more of his time than it should thinking about and discussing him. Outside of when soggy brings him up I can't say I've spent more than about five minutes thinking about or discussing him in the last five years. He's a strange person to fixate on.

He doesn’t actually discuss anything with anyone just opines on what he heard on LBC or read on some left wing site. He reopened a thread on grooming gangs from years ago to pontificate about race wasn’t relevant and have a pop at some posters. Then nothing more when challenged with contrary evidence. I really have no idea what he gets from here, maybe some satisfaction for his persecution complex because it certainly isn’t for debate.

If by that you mean that my posts get under the skin of people with the same mindset as the likes of Braverman, Trump, Robertson, Patel etc. then I take that as a massive compliment. Sadly though I think that there are much bigger WUMs than I on the “innernetz” Weston.

see in your deluded little mind that's what you think. You think you're getting under peoples skin, you think "calling out" people a Southampton football forum is some incredible act of virtue and bravery. Sadly for you the huge majority of people across many forums look upon you as a joke figure and laugh at you.

I don't think your posts get under anybody's skin. What they do acheive is 2 things; firstly there are those who you think you are annoying, whereas in fact they are laughing at you, generally because you have completely misread them, their affiliationas and beliefs. Secondly there are a significant number of people who see your blustering and the mocking reponses it engenders as polluting just about every thread as you raise the same points over and over again in an attempt to justify your self-appointed position as a social crusader.

Please, for your own sake, take a chill pill.

You could say the same about Katie Hopkins. Before SOG started banging on about her the last i remember hearing about her was about 10 years ago when she made a tit of herself on This Morning to lovely Holly for slagging off people who call their kids names of places when she's got a kid herself called India. SOG however references her endlessly like she's some sort of voice of the right wing and everyone hangs onto her every word. Very odd indeed.

Before soggy brought her up, I genuinely couldn't remember who she was. Soggy has quoted me saying that recently as if I was lying for some reason and making that up which is both head and leg mental.

It's hilarious. He's called me an islamophobe for years and claimed I hate Asians and I'm married to one. My children are a percentage Asian and my father in law's first language is Arabic. Meanwhile the only black person he regularly comes into contact with is his barber. It's a joke.
