It's definitely a saints fan reaction!

People have been moaning that we've not produced any players from the academy for several years, but up in arms when the academy director moves on.

Maybe there is someone better out there?

I reckon the majority are being pushed towards the door.

SR have a lot of work to do to get this right.

People might say “Well these lot leaving haven’t done anything” but that said we are worse off on a footballing side since SR came in.

Funny how all these people leaving (and according to our uber fans are not good enough anyway) are going on to bigger and better things.  Anyone who has any confidence in the charlatan that is Ankerson is deluded.  Every decision so far seems to have been horribly wrong.

very worrying times

It's not necessarily a bad thing. (I have no idea)

But clearly, SR are restructuring the club starting at the top.   I was told a while back that Semmens was on his way out, but haven't heard much since. But basically SR are looking to consolidate some of these roles into their setup. i.e. Scouting team that is working on recruitment for SR, not necessarily for Southampton FC.

This summer is going to be incredibly interesting for a lot of different reasons.

We are going to pool resources with Goztepe in the interests of financial efficiencies.

If anyone is qualified to structure the academy and make some good hires its Jason Wilcox.

The fact he is incoming is the one positive.

Agreed, just hoping he is the one in charge of recruiting staff.

Not against a clear out in the slightest, just very scared that Rasmus would be leading the charge on sourcing replacements.

Well if you read Fabrice's post on the other thread then Semmens, crocker, Hale etc. are to blame for this season, and in actual fact Rasmus is the fall guy... So stop being mean to Rasmus, Ivan!!

As far as I’m concerned they can all fuck off, it’s not like we’ve had 3 or 4 wonderful years.

if Hale, Vahid and Rice were the key to bringing in Dibling, Ballard and Jimmy-Jay Morgan, then maybe they know what  they are doing and will be missed. Not sure of the timings though.

Difficult to get excited by this news - the guy left an age ago in relation to the priorities of the current re-build of the upper echelons of the management team, the coaching staff and the squad.  SR's tagline should read, "...no news is good news"!

Bit of a strange one this, unless explained clearly by someone which I missed. But why are senior staff members jumping ship and taking backwards steps in their careers? 🤨

It's just a complete reshuffle. Sports Republic want their own set up and own people. These people either don't want to be part of it, or SR don't want them to be part of it.

I'm not concerned about it, the club needs a shake up.

If you put the two elements of your post together, leaving and taking up a lower role, suggests they've been pushed.

Replaced by Andy Goldie from... Swansea City

No mention in their club statement

Don’t think it’ll be easy prising Piroe or Grimes from Swansea. Relationship must be bad.

Perhaps their chairman will give an interview on local tv calling us English south coast yobboes .

(Wonder what that is in Welsh)

Who knows, but there won't be any where near enough vowels to make sense.

Oh well, plenty of other players out there that can do a job in the championship I’m sure.

As he’s American would hope that he’d go with the familiar vernacular - something like cockamame Hamp Shire county Limey cocksuckers! Hope so.
