washsaint Posted 27 April, 2023 Posted 27 April, 2023 I just want to applaud Selles for his bravery. In yet another must win game he has put out a side to strike fear in the opponents hearts and minds. Bournemouth will be quaking in their boots at the thought of facing Eliuseless, AA and Walcott as a front 3. Terrifying. Meanwhile, pacy wingers such as Sulemana do not play and Tall paul not even on the bench. Nothing like going for it (quite literally). I can see the crowd getting very restless early on with that pathetic, defensive lineup 2 2
obelisk Posted 27 April, 2023 Posted 27 April, 2023 Selles has obviously decided that crab football is what we want. Prepare for an evening of despair. 1
Saint86 Posted 27 April, 2023 Posted 27 April, 2023 You lot are so negative, saints win incoming!!! 😎 1

FarehamSaintJames Posted 27 April, 2023 Posted 27 April, 2023 Do we think Ruben has looked at the league table?
obelisk Posted 27 April, 2023 Posted 27 April, 2023 Bournemouth dodgy to defending crosses into the box so Selles drops the one player who might benefit. The sooner this clown of a coach is out of the place the better. 3
Dman Posted 27 April, 2023 Posted 27 April, 2023 Such a negative starting line up. Strikes me as a set up to not lose rather than win. A draw isn’t enough selles, sort it fucking out. mat this point, I’m starting to wonder if he’s trying to protect his (pretty terrible it has to be said) record, for when he’s looking for a new job come May. 1
Baird of the land Posted 27 April, 2023 Posted 27 April, 2023 Fingers crossed sulemana can have impact off the bench that he had as a supersub in the Spurs game.
jasonbenali Posted 27 April, 2023 Posted 27 April, 2023 I know Selles says he doesn’t look at the table, but that lineup is like it’s the last game of the season and we need a point to stay up. What did AA do to stay in that team? Why no Tall Paul at all against their set piece weakness? Why Ely when we must win? 2
Saint Gifford Posted 27 April, 2023 Posted 27 April, 2023 I know this isn’t the right thread. But just watching the build up for the Spurs, Utd game. Line up for Spurs, in the sticks with Forster. I know spurs are currently crap, but I know how I would have gone with most of this season. Perhaps we are building a team to win the U14’s league next season. Please excuse me, but just makes a mockery of so say pretend football manager owners. Just buy a PlayStation, you can do what you want for about 500 quid.
legod66 Posted 27 April, 2023 Posted 27 April, 2023 An absolute MUST WIN - no question!! So tell you what we will play Walcott Adam Armstrong and Elyounoussi up front who have scored THREE goals between them all season. Just couldnt make it up . Keep banging my head against the wall cause it has to be me thats crazy 🤒 2 1

You'd also think the miserable conditions might suit playing a target man too. 2

I can't believe I'm saying this but I think this cunt is on a par with the cunt he replaced. 5 1
Baird of the land Posted 27 April, 2023 Posted 27 April, 2023 is ABK injured? When i first saw DCC was playing i assumed it was for Bednarek
Saint NL Posted 27 April, 2023 Posted 27 April, 2023 (edited) I don't understand how he chooses the team each week. I'd expect some changes on Sundays so maybe Che starts then? Here's a stream if someone needs one https://v3.sportsonline.sx/channels/hd/hd5.php Or another https://www.fotytv.com/2023/04/southampton-vs-bournemouth-preview.html?m=1 Edited 27 April, 2023 by Saint NL

This is Saints, we need to buy a few other consoles that nobody wants for a couple of grand and then stick them in the attic and don't play them Then we play the Acorn Electron and the C64 instead. Bit of Emlyn Hughes International Soccer sounds more our style than FIFA. Edited 27 April, 2023 by Cascadia Saint quote 2
S-Clarke Posted 27 April, 2023 Posted 27 April, 2023 Seems like the ''Who do we have to endure in attack this week?" tombola has landed on Armstrong and Elyonoussi. Should be a laugh. Work commitments mean I'm not there, but it's possible that work will be a distraction for a change. I hope I'm wrong, but I don't think it's going to be pretty. 1
obelisk Posted 27 April, 2023 Posted 27 April, 2023 The sooner this god-awful season is over the better. I can only assume that Selles is of the same opinion. 1
jasonbenali Posted 27 April, 2023 Posted 27 April, 2023 The wife just walked in and said ‘why are you watching that, you know it will just upset you’ 😂 1 3

Saint_clark Posted 27 April, 2023 Posted 27 April, 2023 Lack of match sharpness from McCarthy there. Mental that it took so long to put him in. 2
stknowle Posted 27 April, 2023 Posted 27 April, 2023 Kin ell at least we're going for it but WIDE open.
Saint_clark Posted 27 April, 2023 Posted 27 April, 2023 Fuck off ref blatant foul on Lavia in JWP territory there.
Saint_clark Posted 27 April, 2023 Posted 27 April, 2023 We are way too soft when challenging decisions, just meekly accept when the ref gets such blatant decisions wrong. 1
Saint NL Posted 27 April, 2023 Posted 27 April, 2023 Who is the co-commentator? He actually seems to know what he's talking about
Saint_clark Posted 27 April, 2023 Posted 27 April, 2023 Ryan Christie down with cramp already? Yeah, sure...
Dman Posted 27 April, 2023 Posted 27 April, 2023 Whose fucking idea is it to take these short corners? Get it in the box you thick cunts. 3
Baird of the land Posted 27 April, 2023 Posted 27 April, 2023 Not surprisingly given the abject lineup we look to have no attacking threat
Jonnyboy Posted 27 April, 2023 Posted 27 April, 2023 Come on Saints, let's take this lot down with us!
BotleySaint Posted 27 April, 2023 Posted 27 April, 2023 10 mins gone and we've totally run out of ideas. No shape. No theat whatsoever

The Kraken Posted 27 April, 2023 Posted 27 April, 2023 Two corners, Bournemouth shit at the back in the air, and we go with two short corners.
Mr X Posted 27 April, 2023 Posted 27 April, 2023 Just now, obelisk said: Off the post from AA. The most he's contributed all season
Dman Posted 27 April, 2023 Posted 27 April, 2023 Just now, AlexLaw76 said: Mental isnt it, Bournemouth were woeful the other day... Brain dead. Really, really fucking brain dead. We’ve got one of the best crossers of the ball in the league ffs. 1

stknowle Posted 27 April, 2023 Posted 27 April, 2023 As sure as night follows day IF Elyounoussi does something half decent it's followed with something shit.
