Selles: Speculating too much... not good enough from all of us...JWP had a bad night, some chest issues... harder and harder...keep fighting...have to recover quick...show we can be more constant...

Couldn't say anything remotely positive. And he'd have been slated for it, if he had. And that's how a lot of losses with these tactics looks. When you set up not to attack, dominate or push your opponents, defeats make us look as though we've never tried, had no energy, and miles away form getting goals.

Has anyone thrown anything at Ankersen yet?

If not please can they.

Good idea.

But does that prick actually attend matches ?

I expect he’s too busy admiring himself in a bathroom mirror practicing his Ted Talks.

I actually hope that he's kicked off. At least it shows a tiny bit of fight.

But they said on TV that he's got the shits.

The quality of broadcasting has definitely declined since Sir Trevor.

I don’t want to undermine my opinion with hyperbole - so having witnessed Forest, Wolves, Grimsby etc I won’t exaggerate and say that’s our worst performance this season.

But the tactics here and the last 20 mins or so v palace have been some of the most brainless, and quite frankly chicken Sh1t I’ve seen. Let’s not go down fighting, let’s go down not even attempting to win a football game.

Dreadful tactics and motivation irrespective of the horrendous recruitment that got us here. Selles needs to go. A lot of players need to go too. Gutless, clueless and not a pair of bollocks amongst them

We are very good at one thing - being consistently shit. We've mastered that at least.

Must be due another record at some point.

I'm sorry but Selles has to take a big portion of the blame tonight for the way we set up to play. No recognised striker from the start, going to a back three at the start of second half, why? We needed to be on the front foot and get at them. Making changes after we went behind again. Che, Stuart and Sulemana should all have started. Absolutely fuming after that.

I was surprised there wasn’t more booing at full time. I think we’re all just completely resigned, deflated and finished with this rubbish

I remember a game in the Branfoot era when we lost yet another drab home game 1-0. Very little booing at the end, just the sound of seats being slammed .

Defeats come as no surprise, nor do poor performances. People have resigned themselves to relegation.

The Board won’t hear the booing anyway. They might, just might, take note of declining attendances, and the low uptake of season tickets.

Oh shit!! Well  that's it then. As much as I'd like SR to sell up and fuck off....who the hell would buy us in the state we are in now. Ankerson is a total fuck nugget. Stares at himself on the mirror more than running our club. Clueless. Ah well, at least I can visit my grand kids when we play Plymouth next season......

TBH the last couple of seasons in the premier league have been filled with desperation, disappointment, frustration and served up utter shite with an occasional win….I won’t miss it too much.🤷🏻‍♂️

I get you. Can't say I am looking forward to the likes of Stoke, Blackburn, Millwall, Cardiff, Hull etc etc on a dull wet night though

You wait until we’re 16th in the Championship after a 3-0 defeat at Preston. It’s about to get much, much worse.

Just a thought but can we not forfeit the rest of the season? Is it not within the rules that if a team fails to show more than two games within a season may be suspended for the season? You could argue Saints have failed to show on numerous occasions!! I have got to cling on to something, so I don't have to suffer anymore of this!!!

Ankerson just sack the twat ! The little club from nowhere just got stuffed 4 0 at home to west ham with crosses into the box ..so Selles plays with no striker and our 6ft 7 giant is not even on bench ! Crap tactics from a crap so called manager!! OUT OF HIS FN DEPTH !!!

thought KWP and Alcaraz were poor.

KWP has had a shit season to be honest. No where near as good as previous years.

That's true, I think he has been really poor this year. I think confidence plays a factor and he's been part of this losing mentality for almost 18 months now, not just this season.

I don't think he's had a proper partner down the right hand side though, I thought when we were at our best he linked up with Armstrong pretty well who'd allow the overlap etc. He's often isolated as our only attacking outlet, then gets caught, can't recover and the rest is history.

I think we've basically forfeited the season so far, so will continue for the remaining 5.

Quite funny that selles subs alcaraz when he is playing well and leaves him on when he has his worst game for us.

Yes it's almost as though Selles is deliberately sabotaging the club's chances.

It’s not good when you love your club but despise the team.

Out of everyone, the only player in the squad I like is KWP. Lavia too obviously, but no way he’s sticking around. The rest are shit, quicker the dross is gone the better.

It is self torture watching Saints at the moment. I hate it. We are pathetic and it’s infuriating, especially when we have just gone from giving the league leaders a run for the money to that. What even is that, which we just witnessed? Gutless, spineless and quite frankly pathetic.

Fair play to Bournemouth, showing passion for the badge and the game and how to handle getting out of the bottom.

Fuck this squad of players.

To be fair KWP was one of the worst on the pitch tonight(& that sure is a low bar!!)

Agree with the above.

If you put a Pompey fan in charge who was deliberately trying to get us relegated, he couldn’t have done any worse then Selles tonight.

Anotjer horrendous mangerial appointment, managing a bunch of utter melts.

To be honest there is absolutely nothing to support about this club anymore. I won’t be getting a season ticket next season. I probably won’t even bother at all depending on who we recruit & let go. I don’t want to watch these pricks ever again.

I will probably start supporting again in league one the season after, because that’s exactly where we are headed.

He got totally mixed up - instead of threading the ball through the eye of a needle he's been shitting through it.

I can tell you what Bournemouth didn't do tonight, pass it around their centre-backs and goalkeeper, which we did right up until the 95th minute. They were direct and cut through our midfield and defence on numerous occasions. We got schooled by Bournemouth and Gary O'Neil. Selles just isn't cut out for management. Been here all season and still doesn't know our best eleven. Every line-up it's like one previously frozen out player is being selected via a tombola. Absolutely no consistency in the selections, other than they're consistently shite. Aribo, Caleta-Car and A. Armstrong all in recent weeks coming in and out of the team having not played for weeks. Who's it going to be against Newcastle?

Bringing Lyanco on for JWP was a particular masterstroke. Gave up the midfield.

The only positive is that Selles won't be here next season.

Think that's the last time I'll be using my ST this season. Be back next season when it's hopefully a bit better, but this football is miserable.

Edit: Forgot McCarthy also started tonight, to add to the tombola selections.

Has to be one of the worst forward lines we have ever fielded in a first division/premier league game

We haven't had a 'forward line' for many many months.  We've had a few guys amble aimlessly about, but not what anybody, who knows anything about football,  would call a 'forwards line'.

Well, I wasn’t going to go tonight, but I did.

…and I saw exactly the game of football I was expecting to see.

I only have myself to blame.

I did the same thing. Adamant I wasn't going to bother, Palace was my last game, season tickets in the bin etc, and yet there I was stood watching the same predictable shit we've had for the last 3 or 4 years. Ponderous talentless wank.

Thankfully I am on holiday and busy for the last two games. So that really is me done with this dreadful bunch of wasters.

See you in August I guess.
