A few of that team have no business being on the pitch tonight (or ever again) for us. 3
Dman Posted 21 April, 2023 Posted 21 April, 2023 For me Selles over thinks and try’s to be too tactical, rather than just playing his best 11 players. It’s clear he’s playing AA for his pace on the counter tonight and Moi for his defensive ability, but the key part is that they’re absolutely fucking shite. 5
badgerx16 Posted 21 April, 2023 Posted 21 April, 2023 I think he is giving everybody in the squad a chance to cement their place in the line up for the opening match of next season.
Toussaint Posted 21 April, 2023 Posted 21 April, 2023 I should rise above this, I should know better. I was irritable and very on edge before the West Ham game, City blighted my otherwise lovely Easter weekend, Palace ruined last weekend. Yet here I am again, irritable and agitated in anticipation of another night of misery. All this after following this team since the late 70s. Anyone else who should know better get this way? 1

FarehamSaintJames Posted 21 April, 2023 Posted 21 April, 2023 Am I the only one who thinks Salisu and Adams careers are over? He just states they’re “unavailable” but he also in that same press conference talked about commitment and fighting for the shirt. Just something worth thinking about.

No, I think they are gawn, suggested of Adams a few weeks ago, he’s wanted out the last two windows.

Suhari Posted 21 April, 2023 Posted 21 April, 2023 Don't think I'm watching the game tonight. Because it takes a little effort to finish this beer, get back to the hotel and sort out the WiFi and the hookey steam. And that's more effort than Selles has put in. And probably more than the team will. Prove me wrong. Go on. 1

Totton Saint Posted 21 April, 2023 Posted 21 April, 2023 Dejepo was a sub last game but not this game. Where is the logic in that? If AA is back from the cold why not Mcarthy? 2

I think they’ve both downed tools. And are therefore utter cunts. This team is possibly bedding in the Championship line up. But even Selles has no motivation as he knows he’s not getting the job. JWP not motivated as he’s clearly off to Spurs. So he’s left to pick the shot that are staying put. Plus Lavia who is heartbreakingly good and spirited. Hate this club at the moment 1 1

derry Posted 21 April, 2023 Posted 21 April, 2023 So that's three nothing players, Elyounoussi, Walcott and armstrong. Powder puff defenders, press my eye. Press and close down, don't make me laugh. As for scoring Selles is just an overqualified coaching idiot and the universities are full of similar unemployable people on berry picking and needlework degrees. 3
Osvaldorama Posted 21 April, 2023 Posted 21 April, 2023 I feel sorry for anyone that has spent money and travelled all the way to watch this line up. Fans deserve so much better than to watch that front 3 mince about giving the ball away 1

coalman Posted 21 April, 2023 Posted 21 April, 2023 If you're Pep managing City you can fuck about with selections because you have a £50m international wherever you look. If you're managing Saints you're lucky if you can pick 11 players without 3 of them being shit. 1
JohnS Posted 21 April, 2023 Posted 21 April, 2023 Apart from Bednarek & Bazuna - a little happier with that line-up 1

BotleySaint Posted 21 April, 2023 Posted 21 April, 2023 All you can do is laugh at that lineup really. New signings all left on the bench. What was the point? Ah... 1
Maggie May Posted 21 April, 2023 Posted 21 April, 2023 I’m only tuning in as it’ll be the last time I see us play Arsenal in the league for a while. That line up is shameful. 1

Saint Billy Posted 21 April, 2023 Posted 21 April, 2023 Forget the nuns tonight, we need god himself but preferably not topless.
Mr X Posted 21 April, 2023 Posted 21 April, 2023 (edited) I'd rather have orsic in from the cold who hasn't played a match for months than Adam Armstrong and that's saying something Edited 21 April, 2023 by Mr X
Saint NL Posted 21 April, 2023 Posted 21 April, 2023 I was hoping for a Saints win, and £100m on the Euro millions tonight. Obviously one of those is a real long shot, takes the piss somewhat that it's the Saints win. That lineup, Jesus Christ

disconnect Posted 21 April, 2023 Posted 21 April, 2023 Well, at least Armstrong is due a goal... Not sure why Sulemana is suddenly dropped when he's been one of the only ones who looks like he could make something out of nothing (and Djenepo not even making the bench now). Mara also dropped off the bench? Feel like this is one of those lineups that looks awful but hopefully isnt...!

BotleySaint Posted 21 April, 2023 Posted 21 April, 2023 (edited) The press and media coverage is a joke too. Suggesting this is a crucial game at both ends. OnceaSaintalwaysaSaint Posted 21 April, 2023 Posted 21 April, 2023 After Tamesaint said we're 14/1 I put a couple of quid on but I notice even the bookies have drifted our odds to 16/1 after seeing our line up.

Dark Munster Posted 21 April, 2023 Posted 21 April, 2023 So Djenepo and Mara, who created our last goal, are rewarded with being left out of the squad completely. And AArmstrong starts?? Selles knows he won't get the job and so is taking the piss. 1
Saint NL Posted 21 April, 2023 Posted 21 April, 2023 Commentator just asked Fara Williams and Lee Dixon who would win. They said easy Arsenal win, 3-0. I mean, they're probably right, but there's a real love in on TV and it's a bit sickening.
