BotleySaint Posted 8 April, 2023 Posted 8 April, 2023 Nice of us to give it a go for 20 mins. Shame we didn't bother last week.
allsa001 Posted 8 April, 2023 Posted 8 April, 2023 I would like to see Tall Paul come on if we keep it nil nil. I reckon he could cause some problems as a targt man. Especially if we whip in some crosses

Sheaf Saint Posted 8 April, 2023 Posted 8 April, 2023 Ref seems to be letting City get away with a lot of niggly little fouls.
Suhari Posted 8 April, 2023 Posted 8 April, 2023 Haaland is a funny looking fucker. Always reminds me of the fish from American Dad 1 2

Says it all really. Put up the fight in order not to get hammered. But ease off too much when they think they’ll coast around similarly ranked teams. Have any of our players looked at the league table this season? 1

First time since Chelsea away then they’ve made any effort or put some work rate, save for 25 minute came v Spurs. In reality, they are just excited about trying to swap shirts with their heroes at FT. They might as well, because bar JWP, KWP and Lavia, the nearest they’ll get to a Man City player is away games at Stockport or Salford in a couple of years time (the Championship is harsh on dysfunctional clubs). Unless the club finds a Kompany type figure in the summer who tells Rasmus and Semmens to keep their nose out. Edited 8 April, 2023 by saint1977
obelisk Posted 8 April, 2023 Posted 8 April, 2023 City letting Saints play themselves into trouble at the back.
DT Posted 8 April, 2023 Posted 8 April, 2023 JWP seems to hate playing it forward these days. What a waste of a free kick. Why is he so bloody chicken? Adores his own pass completion stats. No threat whatsoever. like the look of this line up though, although Walcott up front is still a big embarrassing. 1

obelisk Posted 8 April, 2023 Posted 8 April, 2023 Another dangerous ball across the six yard box but nobody busting a gut to get there.
OttawaSaint Posted 8 April, 2023 Posted 8 April, 2023 Omg. Sulemana. That was awful. I could score that. Fuckkkk!
Turkish Posted 8 April, 2023 Posted 8 April, 2023 FFS mess up a chance at one end they go straight down the other end and score typical

OttawaSaint Posted 8 April, 2023 Posted 8 April, 2023 Did Sulemana collect 5 crisp packets to become a pro footballer? Misses an easy chance and Haaland punishes him. Game over! 1
Sheaf Saint Posted 8 April, 2023 Posted 8 April, 2023 "Elyounoussi closest to it but never in danger of getting a touch" Course he wasn't. And there it is. Game over.
OttawaSaint Posted 8 April, 2023 Posted 8 April, 2023 Phew I hadn't got my hopes up. This doesn't hurt me. 2

Or anyone who can remotely come close to scoring. Bournemouth have Billing. He'd have buried that chance Sulemana had, all it needed was a curl into the far corner, loads of room. Awful.
Holmes_and_Watson Posted 8 April, 2023 Posted 8 April, 2023 No real surprises there. For any graft and possession we have, we're not really threatening to convert anything. And we concede quite softly, just before the break. 1

coalman Posted 8 April, 2023 Posted 8 April, 2023 Vigo (from Ghostbusters 2) was always going to score against us. Only question was how many 3

NewYorkSaint Posted 8 April, 2023 Posted 8 April, 2023 When you see what this team can do, it seems crazy to think of them being relegated. The key to the rest of the season is whether Selles and JWP can inspire this spirit for the rest of the run in. If they can, there's still a chance. I genuinely believe that with our new players we're capable of being a competitive mid-table team. Oy... so heart-breaking.
BotleySaint Posted 8 April, 2023 Posted 8 April, 2023 We've look bright today. As usual we can only raise ourselves for the bigger teams whilst going down weakly to our relegation rivals. 1

Any ball in from that angle was gonna end up straight to the keeper, or one of our players would be offside if they managed to get to it. So he made the right call to draw them out. 1
qwertyell Posted 8 April, 2023 Posted 8 April, 2023 Shame about the late concession. The boys haven't disgraced themselves at all. Which makes you wonder where they've been for all the winnable games they've failed to turn up to this season. A draw's not out of the question in the second half - City are a flaky side at times. Come on lads, nothing to lose.
Maggie May Posted 8 April, 2023 Posted 8 April, 2023 The sickener is we up our game against teams when it should be a free hit, not against our direct rivals. We deserve to go down on that basis alone. 2

It's fuck all to do with spirit, it's to do with the fact that we couldn't score in a Bangkok knocking shop with Katie Price on special offer 1
