ABK Im assuming is gone but surely Lyanco knows his time is up, we’ve clearly tried to shift him and even took his number off him

I think Holgate and hopefully Wood are in to replace two or three out of ABK, Lyanco, KWP, Larios, Bree and Perraud.

Both are potential starters but probably would be bench at first. Given the high number of games and the increased booking suspensions from new rules this season plus more injuries ( from playing 100minutes not 90) they will certainly get good game time and opportunity to claim starter spots.

Id prefer we kept KWP and ABK of course out of the five most at risk…

The loan moves aren't the most exciting but they are probably good, pragmatic, low-cost moves in terms of putting points on the board this season. It gives us the chance to take some more transfer fees in to balance the books (hopefully not Sule, Tella AND Adams though) while still being in a strong position to go up, when we can recruit from a position of strength.

Hope and expect we supplement these with some of the younger, more left-field players we've been linked to, as well as a few well-chosen bigger money moves (e.g. Wood). Also hope Fraser doesn't block SAA from the lineup.

Please tell me Moussa Djenepo is leaving  - still can't believe he was nearly out of contract last year and they gave him 2 more years.  It looks like he's a nice person and he has some talent with the football - and he works hard - but he has no end product and no football brain.

Aribo is another one I hope leaves - is lack of effort and  movement is just terrible.

I don't think we'd replace either one if they left.  We just wouldn't miss them.

And please let it be Sulemana that is off - not Tella.

Everton have about thirty CB’s don’t they? Feels that way the last few years, all of which have been as successful as the last. 😂

Bit of a utility signing Mason Holgate, I wouldn’t ever say I’ve seen him play shit, just feels like another squad player.

Can’t say I was particularly wowed by the Swansea CB, as I said before, he conceded a fair few in this league last season, it would be nice to have some commanding and stocky figures at the back that can keep the odd clean sheet, and then make the step eventually into the Premier League.

He didn’t concede the goals he was part of a team that did - doesn’t mean he will be the same with different team members.

Larios is that one player that I’ll never remember that we still have unless someone else mentions him.

funny enough, I think he'll be absolutely superb in Martins system.

Is he injured still?

A Pardew/Fonte scenario?

Reminds me of the Darren Ferguson / Richard Chaplow stuff too.

They’d both slagged each other off and Preston sold Chaplow to us for a measly £50k to get him out.

Turned out to be a good pickup and never anything other than a good egg in the dressing room, based on how his teammates here spoke of him.

Just a fyi think Martin's is well aware about what Fraser can do was in Scotland squad with him in 2017.

Im no doubt he’ll be a good option at this level but we have;

Tella, Sully, Edozie, SAA, Djenepo, Aribo, Doyle, Adam Armstrong - All able to play on the wing

Just coming back from injury, not sure if may have played in the closed doors friendly. Personally thought he looked like a very promising player, thrown into a bit of a disaster, just small and lightweight, but would suit a passing style for sure.

I'm rather nervous seeing all the loan links personally. Especially if we end up selling good players for big money we should be keeping & replacing with this.

Feels like there's a lot of hedging of bets going on rather than a commitment to getting promotion.

I think loan deals are always a big part of teams strategies when relegated from the PL. I know there needs to be a balance, but you don't want to be stuck with a load of championship players on long contracts if you find yourself promoted back to the PL?

Leeds apparently in advanced talks for Paintsil. Deal to be worth around £8.5m

so it turns out that all those targets happy to wait for us, are really just waiting for Leeds to pip us to the post 😂

Seems to be the same structure that Ornstein mentioned for us agreeing with Genk for the Onuachu swap deal. £8m +£2m in addons

Leeds funding the Onuachu departure, lovely!

They're getting a winger we wanted - much like the Piroe deal, this is not a good outcome for us at all.

That's a good point, technically very good. You'd have to be coming through barca's academy and then man city. His problems other than injuries will come from being so small.

Hopefully can toughen up and put the injuries behind him, could be like a new signing. Guess we will find out this season.

Sink or swim time for him I think.

Nobody had heard of Paintsil before a few days ago, and how did our last signing from the Belgian league turn out?

@manji has also mentioned we have a different ST target to Piroe. Lets see what the next week brings

A question that I don't think anyone will know the answer to – would we have wanted him if Onuachu wasn't here or was he one of many winger options that was slightly more convenient if there was the potential for a swap deal?

Manji hasn't got a clue what he's on about. He likes to pretend his 'ITK' but he just talks absolutely shit because his tongue is lodged firmly up the arse of the hipster favourite, Rasmus

Armstrong & Ballard too, have enough depth for a formation of one up front.

Armstrong isn't a number 9. Ballard unproven at this level.

going into the season with Che as our only feasible option to rely upon would be suicide. That's ignoring the fact Che is likely to leave.

Or the fact being deeply embedded with the CoT means I know 'Mental Manji' is talking out of his arse.

Keep lapping it up tho nipper - We've got loads of signings lined up - we're on the charge across this week with our war chest.

Bit worrying Paintsil didn't want to come here but is happy to join the shit show at Elland Road...

Why would he want to come here and be behind Tella, Edozie, AA, Sam? Or would you want to bin one of those off for a lad you've (presumably) never heard of until he was linked a couple of weeks ago?

Hear Adams and Tella might not be in training today 😟

Imagine losing both of them and looking at who we've brought in. The success of this transfer window and indeed our season will hinge now almost entirely on what happens to four players imo (ABK, Tella, Adams and KWP).
